bergh 0 #1 May 8, 2007 Hi Guys/Girls I need some help. In June-July I am going to Belgium and Germany for some jumping. I would like to know what the regulations are around using non-TSO'd equipment in both countries. You help is appreciated. JPDECHENE 0 #2 May 8, 2007 As far as Belgium is concerned, if your equipment is approved in your country, you may jump it. The reserve repack cycle in your country is also accepted The only limitation is that an AAD is mandatory to jump in Belgium. We look forward to seeing you JP
jurgencamps 0 #3 May 8, 2007 Like JP said. By the way a Vortex container is no problem,it is also sold in Belgium. Bring your logbook and proof that you have a "skydive"insurance. Gr Jurgen

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but would like to hear more about the insurance requirements in different countries. USA has no insurance requirement, but IF you are a member of USPA (required at some DZ's, but not nationally) then you have some limited liability insurance (does not cover the jump plane or other jumpers as I recall, just injury/damage to the uninvolved). jurgencamps 0 #10 May 9, 2007 You need third party liability insurance. You can take the belgian one if you want to, but then you need a certificate of a doctor who declares you "medical fit/apt to skydive". USPA insurance is not valid for non-american citizens when they jump somewhere else than in the USA. Jurgen
