windcatcher 0 #1 August 28, 2006 I went into a cd/vinyl/dvd/video game place yesterday just to browse and see how much I could get for my PS1 and I noticed they had Super Nintendo games! I asked them how much their Super Nintendos run for right now, and since they are supposedly popular again, the guy told me around 50-60 bucks! I am hoping maybe I'll get one for birthday because I just looooooooved playing games on S.N. Anyone else share my love? Forget the fancy graphics and computer games---give me Super Nintendo any day! simplyputsi 0 #2 August 28, 2006 60 bucks, popular again!! Hmmm me thinks I'll be looking into what I have left of mine. I'm pretty sure last time I was at my parents I saw the thing still laying around. It was kept to entertain the young cousins that visit. They are all older now. Hell I'll probably end up plugging the thing in and playing again. Look at what you have done now. I only got like 20 bucks for my ps1, that was with 3 controllers, the good kind, 4 or 5 mem cards, and something like 11 games. I was super friggen pissed.Skymama's #2 stalker -
windcatcher 0 #3 August 28, 2006 Wow, no one else? Looks like everyone is stuck on their fancy-shmancy Games Cubes and whatnot. Y'all are missing out, I'm tellin ya! And oh! Simplyputsi, they told me they'd give me a whole $8 for my PS1. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
AndrewKarnowski 0 #4 August 28, 2006 or you could just wait a couple months for the Wii to come out and pay $170 for a next gen console with 2 dollar SNES games...
simplyputsi 0 #5 August 28, 2006 Tell me about it. I should have kept my ps1 as a dang cd player, actually I should have listed it on ebay as such a thing. The only reason I put it on ebay is because at the store they gave me yeah something like $8 for it. I was like are you serious, it's not like it's an atari for the love of god. I do see it's outdated though. My ps2 is probably worth all of 50 bucks now. The older games rule because you don't have to push eighty buttons to move around and do things.Skymama's #2 stalker -
Armour666 0 #6 August 28, 2006 That’s funny this came up , Due to being grounded due to clouds some one at the DZ bought one yesterday at a flea market and hooked it up to pass the time. 2 controlers and Mario 3 for $60SO this one time at band camp..... Lindercles 0 #7 August 28, 2006 I'm right there with you. Super Nintendo is awesome. But screw 60 bucks, it's fairly easy to find a good SNES emulator. I play SNES games on my computer with a PS2 controller.
simplyputsi 0 #8 August 28, 2006 Yeah, but you don't get to blow into the cartridge to make it work.Skymama's #2 stalker -
windcatcher 0 #10 August 28, 2006 I thought you were supposed to blow in a NINTENDO, and hit a SUPER NINTENDO and tip it upside down so each of them work? Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
LisaM 0 #11 August 28, 2006 Very very interesting. I have mine hooked up to a small tv in front of my treadmill. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
AggieDave 6 #12 August 28, 2006 I still have my SNES and hook it up sometimes. I would hook it up ALL the time but I don't have Zelda anymore. Its hard to find and when you find it, its one of the expensive games. I sat down a couple of years ago and played through Super Mario World again. It made me think back to how new and cutting edge the SNES seemed (it really wasn't cutting edge, there had been other better systems previous to the SNES) back then. Went through and played through every dot on the map, got all the secrets and even beat the star world. Its amazing how you can remember all of that crap once you start playing it again.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." brianfry713 0 #14 August 28, 2006 I'm a dork and spent a lot of my childhood playing Super Nintendo. I still remember how exited I was to come back from the store when it was just out, unwrap everything, hook it up, and start playing Mario. After reading all the instructions in the car of course. simplyputsi 0 #15 August 28, 2006 instructions?? what are those? plug it in start hitting buttons and you were off. Of course then when you got stuck you read that little book that came with the game.Skymama's #2 stalker -
FreeflyChile 0 #16 August 28, 2006 you can get the SNES Zelda for the Game Boy Advance, but then that requires buy a GBA or DS.
MagicGuy 0 #17 August 28, 2006 LOVE Super Nintendo. I spent tons of childhood hours glued to the TV playing it. Makes me want to go buy one and start playing!
Icon134 0 #18 August 28, 2006 well... I'm an honest to goodness dork... I never really got into playing any video games growing up... once in a while I'd play something... but I never got into video games. Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... AggieDave 6 #20 August 28, 2006 Quote you can get the SNES Zelda for the Game Boy Advance, but then that requires buy a GBA or DS. Got it, played it (and the "new" one for the GBA). The downside is that the game is slightly different on the GBA, there are minor differences that were changed when ported to the GBA. Just not the same, although still VERY fun.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
