leroydb 0 #1 August 28, 2006 WASTE NO WORDS ON A PERSON WHO DISLIKES YOU. ACTIONS WILL IMPRESS HIM OR HER MORE. Some people think they can talk their way out of any situation, and for a time they may be right But if someone already dislikes you, either because of a simple misunderstanding or an error in judgment on your part, he or she will be especially difficult to persuade with words. Their emotions will always get in the way of their ability to think logically and reasonably. Consistent actions over a sustained period of time, however, will usually persuade even the most devout skeptic. If you constantly demonstrate that you are a generous, kind, and caring person, it will be very hard for even your enemies to dislike you. In any case, you will become a better person for having made the effort (((((OK where is the real slim Le ROY, please standup!!, we want him back)))))Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio... Dolph 0 #3 August 28, 2006 Why a need to constantly show one is generous, kind and caring? The person in question will dislike you for whatver reasons he or she finds suitable. It is much easier to be yourself and accept the fact that there are gonna be people in the world who just don't like you. There may be a good deal of such people. Unless you like them or they matter to your well being somehow I don't see a reason for altering your persona in an attempt to change their perception of you. Ignore the assholes, be civilized and open minded towards the unknowns and cherish friends and family. Better person? I am what I am.

Believe me, I understand that, having moved around alot as a child. That was an early lesson learned for me. Only by learning to love and accept yourself will you answer some of these questions/lessons. You would not be changing your personality in wanting to be accepted.Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio... NWFlyer 2 #5 August 28, 2006 I think Dr. Seuss aid it best: "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.""There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
