ntrprnr 0 #1 August 26, 2006 Come cheer me on as I run this. Chances are, it starts before most of you have gone to bed anyway, so come out and cheer, then go have breakfast, then go home to bed. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" kbordson 8 #2 August 26, 2006 Cool!! I would definately do that (either cheer you on or try to run too) if I were there! (It's been a goal of mine to someday run a marathon - or even a half marathon) Good Luck!!

SBS 0 #6 August 26, 2006 Where and what time? It just so happens that I don't have anything to do in the morning, and need a reason to get out of bed. :-)_____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...
Lindercles 0 #7 August 26, 2006 What a coincidence, I'm not doing anything in NYC tomorrow morning. I'm not doing anything in NYC at all for the foreseeable future.
ACMESkydiver 0 #8 August 26, 2006 I'm definitely not doing anything in NYC tomorrow. Come to think of it, I'm not doing a whole bunch over here on the west coast where I'm at, either! Good luck!!! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

ntrprnr 0 #12 August 27, 2006 Wow. I guess training really does pay off... Who knew? 1:52:23. Over 2:30 better than any previous half. And it rained. Sore. Achy. But happy. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
aprilcat 0 #13 August 27, 2006 Good for you!!! What are you doing this afternoon? A hot soak? Sleep? Play with your infamous Crackberry? Are you wired? The rain wasn't too bad. You had good weather-isn't it better to run in this than intense heat we've had the last few weeks? Congrats~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo! You had good weather-isn't it better to run in this than intense heat we've had the last few weeks? Congrats~~April Thanks... Watching the race TiVo'd on ABC from this morning. I've got to up my speed work - Got a bit over 2 months to marathon day. Got to increase my speed, and do a lot of hill training. I'm thinking twice a week of sprints at the 59th St. Bridge - 4 or 5 times per workout - should help. If I can do 1:52, I can do 1:48 at the Staten Island half in October. That would give me a really good cushion for a sub-4 marathon. Once that happens, I never have to run again. Not even for a f'ing bus. :D Funny thing is, I spent miles .25 to 4.0 cramping up something fierce, then spent the rest of the race with blisters. Why I do this shit is beyond me. It's worse that drugs._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
