Shoes for skydiving?

Recommended Posts

Nah, reminds me too much of toe socks, which I find uncomfortable (though amusing).

What about Keen shoes (or the much cheaper knockoffs by Skechers and the like?)

I keep saying that I won't jump in sandals anymore. I keep dragging my toes on landing and scraping off layers of skin. Also, if it's hot then inevitably you're going to sweat and feet contained in socks and shoes are better than sweaty feet covered with dirty and grime.

I recently bought a pair of these http://www.merrell.com/Shop/Detail.aspx?NavID=FT-O-AQS&PID=9748

The first time I wore them jumping I was amazed at how much my feet were able to breathe... :)

In the summer I generally wear shoes that can be slipped off easily enough (a pair of Vans actually) with a pair of low cut socks... once I get on the ground part of my disrobing entails removing my shoes/socks and I'll either walk around bare foot or with an easily slipped on/off pair of Birkenstocks.

I don't generally like jumping in sandals on the off chance that I might get a bad spot and need to land in a corn field, Soybean field, or some unknown/unkempt field...

Those shoes are weird, but thanks for the link. I heard running barefoot helps strengthen various muscles in the foot that I'm in need of help with. However no way can I run barefoot.

I've never had heat issues with my feet just wearing my running shoes, they tend to be pretty meshy.

only if you wear a thong and jump with me....

I wear a thong every day, so no worries there, but it will be on under my jumpsuit! :P I'm SO not jumping with you if you get those dorky shoes though!

Seriously, you only have 2 more months of hot weather, then your feet should be comfortable in sneakers. Adidas makes some low-cut "cool-max" socks that my son swears by to keep his feet from sweating so much. I'm usually able to find them at stores like Marshall's, Ross, Kohl's, etc. They cost a little more than regular cotton socks, but they're worth the money.

I jump in Florida...and it's f00kin hot as hell here most of the time. I prefer to jump with sandals but don't care for "Circle K feet" as I call them.
Tennis shoes are too hot...anyone seen and/or tried these???

Wow, those are pretty fucking lame.

Go ahead and get them.

Do your shoes stop Major League Baseball from stealing your thoughts? I think not. Plus chicks dig it.

And besides, my foil hat is pasted into my picture, but you will have to wear those lame ass shoes in real life. It would be my DUTY to make fun of you for wearing them. To do any less would be a travesty against all things guy.

I would totally wear those for beach, river, lake, water park wear. Regardless of which random guy said they look gay. It's fucking disgusting how many brilliant ideas have been completely doomed cause some idiot thinks they look gay. Not a judgement on you, but like the other thread says, "Stupid is as stupid does" You just did stupid... Next.
