Kimblair13 0 #1 August 21, 2006 I was at a house warming party and was eating a hamburger that was kinda red towards the middle. I didn't want to say anything or be mean, so I ate the edges...then threw the rest away. So will I be throwing it all up soon, or what?

What's wrong with it being red? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return." Kimblair13 0 #3 August 21, 2006 I don't know. I've always heard it's bad to eat raw hamburger meat. Maybe I'm part of a conspiracy and have just been lied to all these years.
PhreeZone 20 #4 August 21, 2006 Hamburger is the same as steak... do you eat medium or rare steak? Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
freeflir29 0 #5 August 21, 2006 Well..........it's not the best thing to make a habit of. Because it's ground it gets exposed to a lot more bacteria. However, unless the meat was poorly handled in the first place you should be fine. The Brits serve it like that all the time.
RkyMtnHigh 0 #6 August 21, 2006 you're too funny...Did you watch the preparation of the hamburger? how long was the meat unrefrigerated, etc? THAT is what should be of concern moreso than the pink center part that you didn't eat anyway...you'll be fineBTW...if you barf, count on me to hold your hair back _________________________________________
Frenchy68 0 #7 August 21, 2006 Steak TartareYes, there is a risk, although very slim (the ever popular tape worm being a frequent culprit). There's also a risk with chicken, eggs, milk, etc... I tend to go for the taste and deal with consequences later. I have never died of food poisoning yet, so I must be on a roll... I didn't want to say anything or be mean, so I ate the edges...then threw the rest away. So will I be throwing it all up soon, or what? We had a national chain fast food resturant that put some children in the hospital for eating undercooked hamburgers. The bactateria was called E-coli. We're talking bad sick, one very bad. But the only people that got sick were little children. We ate a double biggie sme day and it didn't phase us. So I tjhinkits a exposure to weight thing and building up a natural immune system Now a lot of food chains if not all use a thermoteter to insure the center of the burger, hot dog etc is hot enough to kill the e-coli. The local joke was please cook the shit out of the burgers Beware a couple of years later some little ones got sick from the petting zoo at the county fair. Now handy wipes are avail after the little ones are done petting the nice little farm animal and before the kids can put their hand in their mouth's. R.I.P. This one just WASN'T going away though. After 7 days straight of shitting myself I finally broke down and asked the medic for Cipro. Quoteexcept certain vegetables that are grown in different places due to the use of night soil That's what got me. The Shoarma had tomatos and onions on it. I knew better but figured my stomach could handle it by then. WRONG!!!!!!!!
