Taylor610 0 #76 August 15, 2006 So these hamburgers, are they going to be 100% lean beef or is this just some of that cheap ground tube steak... What time will you serve the food. After sock washin all day we don't want to wait all night for food. Is the beer included in the registration or is this a BYOB?

popsjumper 2 #81 August 15, 2006 Randon boogie thoughts: Am I gonna have to pay extra for Cotton/Sturdy time...or to use the big washers? Is the meat going to have to be washed before we eat it? Will there be lots of buns for the meat? Can I have Blaine's share of the burgers? Does Jessie even own unmentionables? And what about those T-shirts...I'll bet they say Dublin Boogie on them. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
CSpenceFLY 1 #82 August 15, 2006 I'm sorry to say this boogie may be canceled. The fucker that owns the local hamburger stand teamed up with the guy that owns the laundry mat went to the city council and told them it was unsafe for us to wash socks and cook burgers at the same location.I am currently looking at the legal ramifications of having the boogie anyway. . SkyDekker 1,465 #83 August 15, 2006 after all the money I have spent, now the boogie may be cancelled? You have been advertising this boogie as confirmed from the beginning, do I have to show you the advertising that has been circulated? I have spent so much money already, only to find out you guys have been doing false advertising.

I have already booked and now don't even know if I should cancel and pay the fees for my lodging and my hotel rooms!I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

I mean none of that stuff happened in Dublin. Can we get liability insurance? Will the meat industry write a letter sayiing that it is safe to have socks around the burgers?? I can't believe those whinners...let's just be renegades and do it!
Thanatos340 1 #87 August 15, 2006 There are so many threads going on about this argument. I had a great time there but i also think it is the most dangerous Cookout i could ever imagine. I just saw this awesom pic. My mate was Doing his load and the lightning was hitting the washing area while he was under the grill after jumping from the Fire-Pitts. 10 minutes before this photo was taken manifest was warning us of a level 5 storm coming in and there was a tornado warning. I could not believe that they let the Super Cycle load get started up after this warning was made. About 10 seconds after this load finished the wind and rain was so strong that it snapped wood in half on many tents. How can anyone say that this cookout is safe? There was no Cookout briefing, no set Grill patterns for the burgers, and no idea what machines were washing after you. I had a student still on radio washing a load before us with an 8 way and then our 9 way were freeDrying after him. The event is awesome and a great time, very very cool people and some awesome washes made, safe it was not. We were let out of a balloon where there was nothing but 8 foot corn to land in, the one house we could have made it to was full of power lines. there was nothing else there but corn and bean fields. (And Not a SINGLE soul thought to pick any of this to bring back for the Cookout!! Can you imagine how much better the cookout would have been with fresh grilled corn on the cobb??) Another instance was all loads were called off for weather reasons and then 10 minutes later they called the Super Cycle Load to Wash but kept other loads on the ground. Washing on Super Cycle is a free for all.... I was in sit and then thought shit there will be Permanent Press in front of me and there they were with my Sturdy Cotton screaming past. All this event needs is a safety officer there. Someone making as rule for Grilling Patterns (There should always be a perfect Criss Cross pattern on all grilled things!!), someone making an area for students and a seperate area for Spin Cycle. Golf carts should not be buzzing all over the washing Area. Sort the shit out, just get a safety officer, make some rules, at the moment it is a free for all where everybody expects someone to die. 2fat2fly 0 #88 August 16, 2006 Were we at the same sock washing? Maybe there weren't as many washers as in the past but where do you get off calling them unsafe. There was always plenty of separation between the burgers and socks on every load that I was on. If you were having problems maybe you should pay attention to where you put your basket. Of course you have to pay closer attention than you do at your small, local laundry but it's ultimately your responsibility to keep the bleach out of your own colors and not expect the laundry organizers to babysit several hundred washers and grillers for you.I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

Great review Jay! Many good points were adressed. But you must learn one thing... Golf carts are always allowed. ANYWHERE !! I am NOT being loud. I'm being enthusiastic!
