Do you ride the snooze button?

Recommended Posts

Yep, I ride it all the way! In fact I set my alarm so that I CAN lay in, allowing at LEAST half an hour of snooze button riding (this is during the week of course) if its a weekend I set my HORRIBLE alarm to go off in the other room so I HAVE to get up and switch it off, then I am up and there's skydiving to be done so I stay up!

I tend to not want to be talked to first thing though..
waking up is SOOO TRAUMATIC! B|

I don't own an alarm clock. The military cured me of sleeping late years ago. I get up at 5:30 +/-15 minutes every day regardless of what time I went to bed.

Like Bigun, I really enjoy the early morning peace and quiet watching the sunrise every day.

What I discovered as years went by, though, is that I also enjoy late morning or early afternoon naps.

My reality and yours are quite different.

I ride it like a pack mule. I like to be at work by 6:30, so I usually set the alarm for 5:00 and slap the snooze bar 2-3 times. During the weeek I'm a friggin' zombie.

On weekends I'm oftem up by 7-7:30 - I wake up and feel good then.

Do you actually go back to sleep each time you hit the snooze? I swear, I don't know how people do that. I woke up at 4:40 today and couldn't go back to sleep and I didn't have to get up until 6:00! [:/]

I am with you Mama. In fact I don't even bother to set an alarm clock. I generally wake up at the same time every day(4:00). Then again...my dogs are very demanding;)

I have four dogs that wake me! They all sleep in different place. One in my oldest sons room, another in my youngest sons room, yet another in the living room, and the last, but not least, sleeps with me. When one of the dogs hears the other dog, they all wake up and I have to let them out then they all make a mad dash to the sliding back door and out into the yard. They start to stir around 6. I am lucky if I can sleep till 6:30 (I have to let them out, I don't want any accidents). But I am a morning person, so its no big deal. I just wish they wore slippers, because we have hardwood floors and their nails make too much damn noise in the morning!!

Beleive it or not, I do fall back asleep between smacks of the snooze bar - Why I bother I don't know, it's probably one of the reasons I feel so rundown in the AM - Worhtless sleep I think.

Lately, yes.

I used to be a fellow who weas up on his own and would turn the alram off before it sounded, have the coffee done and be sittin' on the porch ready to go for the day.

But now I am hitting the snooze button more and more, but once up, I am moving as I used too.

My husband told me as well that was why I was so tired. I gave it up for a while and I think he might have been right.... but I missed it! That "woohoo 20 more minutes" feeling I can't do without. I have lessened mine, however to only 2-3 snoozes. :)

Probably one of my worst habits is riding the snooze button. I set my alarm for 5:40 and actually get out of bed around 6:20 or 6:30. Mornings suck. [:/]

Do you do the same?

My alarm clock next to my bed is stupid loud and snoozes are good for 10 minutes. I set it for 0548. My cell phone only gives 3 snoozes, and then doesn't go off again. I set it for 0600, across the room. This way I have noises at:
0548 (loud)
0558 (loud)
0600 (out of bed)
0605 (out of bed)
0608 (loud)
0610 (out of bed)
0615 (out of bed)
0618 (loud)
0628 (loud)
I usually get up at 0630 (plus or minus). :S

Unfortunately, this leaves me relying on the regular alarm clock at the end, and confusion causes me to turn it off (rather than snooze it) somewhat routinely. Since the cell phone snoozes are already spent, I then run a substantial risk of oversleeping.

Your not married are ya?

If I did that set up with the alarm and cell phone while hoping in and out of bed, I would get the ole' WWE smack down for sure!:$

I don't know what's funnier, the thought of waking up to a WWE smackdown, or the thought of me being married in the first place. :D:D:D
