Once again..What book is on your nightstand?

Oooh the first one seems to be a good one....I read a little bit of it.:)

Yes, it is an excellent book! I highly recommend...

It's the first non-educational NOVEL that I have read in the past few years! :)
Since I have been going back to school, all of my reading time has been devoted to school books, so it felt really good to read something just for the pure pleasure of it!

They made a movie from that book, which I saw a long time ago... and it was so good that I've always intended to read the book... and I thoroughly enjoyed the book (but I would recommend the movie too).

I haven't read Virgin Suicides but I did really enjoy Middlesex. I should go back and read Virgin Suicides too.

The Great Transformation, The world in the time of Buddha, Socrates, Confucius and Jeremiah.

History book really, but fascinating how different philosophies and religions developed around the same time all talking of 'The golden rule' of treating others the way you want to be treated.

Of course right now it's not on my nightstand as I brought it over to the PC to copy the title and full sub-title!

My wife and I just finished reading together from the book of Jeremiah: the weeping prophet of God who preached righteousness and who tried to warn his countrymen of God's impending judgments for their sins. Heavy duty!

Presently, I'm reading from the following books:

'Antichrist In Our Midst' by Rand Winburn (website: www.iconbusters.com )

'The Secret History of the Jesuits' by Edmond Paris

'Hitler's Pope: The Secret History of Pius XII' by John Cornwell

And its not like they look at them.... I know for a fact that as soon as they get those papers they go in that "teacher only" room and mock us because they know we know they have all the power and we HAVE to fill out "the mans" forms... (I watched in living color last night :|)

So the movie has the same title as the book? I am heading to the library today...I'm gonna try and find the book.:)

Yeah, the movie and book have the same title.

I ended up reading the first few pages of about five different books last night before I finally settled on Anne Rice's Exit to Eden. Pretty good so far... :)
