NWFlyer 2 #55 August 8, 2006 I am who I am and people are going to put me into whatever box is convenient for them. Those who bother to dig deeper may figure out that I don't fit in the box they originally put me in; or maybe I fit perfectly. Who knows. I find it amusing that people think they "know" me based on my posts on here... and they either decide they think I'm really really cool or really really awful. Have you been on "best behavior" or something else when I've met you? What...librium? Thorazine? I get a kick out of those who think they know mw and really don't. Especially "that guy". NWFlyer 2 #60 August 8, 2006 QuoteHmmmm...should I re-assess my opinion because of this? Having met you once or twice, there seems to be some consistency going on. Well, I don't bother to create an "alter ego," but I also present online exactly what I want people to see. It's much easier to create an impression that way. That's all I'm saying ... Quote What? Have you been on "best behavior" or something else when I've met you? Well, there's the whole "damn you're a self-righteous bitch" crowd... but most of them have never met me. peregrinerose 0 #67 August 8, 2006 QuoteIf others perceive us differently from how we view ourselves, they aren't necessarily the ones who are wrong. There is an incredible amount of self-delusion going around, and I've certainly had my share of it. Damn that's a good quote, and so true of everyone, I think. I have no clue how other people perceive me or if those perceptions match my own or not. I'd be curious to know, though. peanut4040 0 #71 August 8, 2006 I, too, do not give a shit. It doesn't even bother me when people have me totally wrong b/c they obviously made an assumption. People who have known me a long time, generally know me accurately. I don't like to put on a facade and thus, rarely do. I say rarely b/c if a professional situation calls for proper ettiquette, etc. I can certainly hang. But, it's far more comfortable to burp when necessary. Jay, I don't know this fellar. But he says it best. This sport is short term, in that people generally quit about 500 skydives. Thw short timers talk a lot, but LLL, they gone before you know it. The only ones you got to worry about is the ones that have been in this sport longer than you. Now, take a look at the ones that have been here longer than you? Do they appear sane to you? Do you think their opinion matters? The only objective in this sport is to LIVE. This ain't no disneyland ride, This is a sport of survivalist. NOWWWWW,, to get serious for a moment, can i have your attention Jay. I have 8 women showing up this weekend at my farm for a "girls pool party" Needless to say, "and no dawg will Understand why", BUT, I NEEEEED SOMEWHERE TO RUN AWAY FROM HOME AND DO A SKYDIVE . Where you going to be?Its a good day to LIVE, why puck up a good thing. There is no reply in aad section for.
