kmcguffee 0 #26 July 17, 2006 QuoteIt is just too much work and cost me too much $$$$ (fuel, time and costumes) OK, pass the hat around like John said, that should help defray the fuel costs, and get rid of the costumes. Now we only have to work on the "time" problem. Seriously, we enjoyed the performance. Hope you don't have to stop performing at the boogies. waltappel 1 #33 July 17, 2006 I made some cool jumps, but my main reason to go was to meet some dz.commers. I already knew some, but I met many for the first time. Off the top of my head, I met and/or hung out with: * JENNR8R * jumpjunkie2004 * skydivermom * mockingbird * popsjumper * mnealtx * boinky * airtwardo * wmw999 * 4WayXena * mx757 * amanduh * susanjumps * Brains * turtlespeed * voodew1 * moonglo * luminous * rebecca * jumpergirl * upndownshop * aggiedave * professor * thanatos340 * slappie * BIGUN ...and I'm sure I'm leaving out more than a few. There were some HUGE highlights for me. One was a date with two lovely ladies (JENNR8R and jumpjunkie2004). I was also on skydivermom's SCR and on jumpjunkie2004's SCR and SCS loads. I also made my 2nd and 3rd wingsuit jumps. I even got talked into doing some RW! Walt

turtlespeed 220 #35 July 17, 2006 QuoteI must say my performing at boogies may be coming to a close. It is just too much work and cost me too much $$$$ (fuel, time and costumes) it takes a lot of the boogie away from me since it causes a lot of stress. We will see................ waltappel 1 #40 July 18, 2006 A lot of people worked their asses off to make Skyfest happen and a great deal of effort was spent giving back to the sport by helping out the low-timers. TurtleSpeed really went above and beyond the call of duty by shooting a shitload of video and stills--particularly on SCR loads--and burning copies for the SCR recipients. I have no idea how many SCR loads BIGUN organized, but it was a shitload. The wingsuit crew (Jenn, Voodew, Ted, Bob, and a few others) generously provided demo wingsuits and guidance to new wingsuiters (like me!). Loads of other people were doing their part too. The love was definitely there during Skyfest.Walt
