meridianjumper 0 #1 August 4, 2006 My wife and I just recently purchased a new home. The colors on the walls are not very good an need a new coat. The current color is that of the sheet rock shade. I have been put in charge of picking the color. I want a color that is good for thinking and creativity, but also a good color for slaughtering innocent folks while in my gaming mood. I am open to suggestions. Blue Skies, Jeremy
Shotgun 1 #2 August 4, 2006 How about a light green color? Do you have a picture of the room?

meridianjumper 0 #5 August 4, 2006 Here is a picture with the people's stuff that lived in the house before us. The carpet is a light beige color and the ceiling is white with a slight texture. http://www.thejumpershack.com/IMG_7805.JPG Blue Skies, Jeremy
PhreeZone 20 #6 August 5, 2006 I went with a forest green. Its dark at night but still pretty light in the day. Darker/richer colors take about 3-5 coats to cover completely, remember that as you pick a color. BIGUN 1,323 #9 August 5, 2006 Don't paint. Just get a Hunter Green bed ensemble to match the room. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

skymama 37 #11 August 6, 2006 When my boyfriend and I turned his living/dining room into a Pub room, I found the Behr site to be very helpful. It has examples of rooms where you can click on a color and see how it would look on your walls. You can also use their calculator to figure out how much paint you will need, you can see the differences in sheen, get inspiration from the colors they put together, etc. The paint is sold at Home Depot. Here is a site that explains what emotions are associated with certain colors. I would recommend getting just a quart to start out with and test it on the walls. For the room we did, we went through 3 different colors before we finally found the hue we were happy with. If you have a Benjamin Moore nearby, you can get even smaller and cheaper sample sizes, but they only come in certain colors. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
