antifnsocial 0 #1 August 4, 2006 Do you believe in the benefits or have received benifits from any of these? Or are you one of those who think it's all a bunch of horsebunk. Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean. LisaM 0 #5 August 4, 2006 I have had acupuncture for Migraines. I think the first time I was so nervous I GOT a migraine! Then after that I could fall asleep with the needles in me. People would ask me "what if it's all in your head" and I'd say I don't care! If it produces less migraines AND insurance pays for it, I am there! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? Shotgun 1 #6 August 4, 2006 I have received benefits from chiropractic (very much so!) and acupuncture. I'm not sure if acupuncture really works in the manner that the practitioners claim, but I find it to be such a relaxing experience that I think it might work in more of an indirect way for me. And of course--like anything--the practitioner you go to makes a big difference. Hmm, now you've got me wanting to go back to the acupuncturist... Shawndiver 0 #7 August 4, 2006 I have used acupuncture and qigong for allergies, tendonitis, and to help recovery from surgery. Definitely measureable, and in many cases, superior results than were obtained using traditional western medicine. Shawn_________________

LisaM 0 #10 August 4, 2006 With my old insurance, yes I had to get a referral. And that was no easy task.... darn docs would rather shove drugs at you! With my current insurance, I do not need a referral. And it works just like a chiropractor, they pay for like 20 visits a year. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? shropshire 0 #15 August 6, 2006 I've heard from people I know (but never experienced myself) that they have had great results from alternative medicine... that in it's self, is the point, I think.... they felt better afterwards, than they did before. On the other hand - I dont believe in Hyponosis and have never heard of anyone 1st hand who it's worked on..
