SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 August 3, 2006 The summer is "over" in a matter of days (they go back on Tuesday) for my kids. This has been the best summer ever!! After living in the south for more then 10 yrs, I STILL can't get past the fact that school starts before Labor day here (its not supposed to, dontcha know!). Its August for God sakes!! I'm sad and angry!! When does school start for the rest of y'all with kids? BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. matt1215 0 #8 August 3, 2006 Yeah, WTF's up with that? When I was in public-school (pre 1996) we didn't go back until after labor-day. We finished mid-june and had almost 3 months off!!
normiss 806 #9 August 3, 2006 I think they seem to get more parenting type time at school these days than actual lessons...thanks to failing parents everywhere!
cocheese 0 #10 August 3, 2006 Remember work ? Being the breadwinner of my own loser self, i have to work. Oh and pay taxes so people can do crack and not work.
matt1215 0 #11 August 3, 2006 Then maybe I'm unusual. My parents taught me far more that's been useful to me in life than the public school system ever did. But, are you saying up North is starts later??? That's nuts! Ya'll get snow days and stuff. I would assume b/c of that school would start earlier up North. Anywho....I'm sorry you're sad, Bobbi.
