Mirage G4 and Crossfire2

There's a Mirage G4, size M4 with PDR160 and Crossfire2 149. It seems a little loose to me when I compare it to my current rig, which is certainly a 'brick'. What do you guys think of this combination? Is it safe?

I did write to Mirage, they haven't replied yet. I'm just collecting opinions at this point.

Normally we match 169 Crossfire with M4’s, so the 149 would be considered 1 size under and is more intended for the M2 or 3. One size under is ok, just that much softer and that much less room for additional down sizing.

One opinion might be that a highly elliptical canopy loaded at 1.4 is quite an aggressive choice if your profile is up to date, but I imagine that this is something you will have already discussed with your S&TA...

The M4 holds a PD 160 Snug, and a 143 is a Meduim fit.

The main tray is designed to hold a 159 medium, and a 169 snug.

The reserve is a snug fit, but a 149 will be a little soft after it's been packed. I had my Stiletto 150 in a G3 M4 before I bought a G4 M1. I had to have the closing loop as short as it could go to feel safe. If your really concerned about it Contact Mirage and ask.

Thanks! It doesn't feel as snug as I'd like it to be, but I'm comfortable with it now. I think it's snug and safe enough. I'm just not trying too hard to squeeze all the air out of the canopy, makes my life easier
