jumpnjivin 0 #1 July 29, 2006 Just curious, Damn bush and his raised interest rates for school loans to fund his war which raised the price or oil thus raising jump ticket prices. ooops guess that little rant should be in Speakers Corner.
jeremy556 0 #2 July 29, 2006 Quoteraised interest rates for school loans to fund his war You really should start spending your money on education.
karenmeal 0 #3 July 29, 2006 You want to blame Bush for you wanting to spend your school money on skydiving? I hate Bush for sure.. but no sympathy from me. LEARN TO PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unformed 0 #5 July 29, 2006 I used school loans to buy drugs. Then sold those drugs and used the money to pay for school and drugs. It worked out great. This ad space for sale.

jumpnjivin 0 #7 July 29, 2006 Wow some people around here get really worked up. to all you who's blood pressure went up while responding to this poll. RELAX it was just a question. Even if I did spend the money on gear and school what is it to anybody, I'm the one that has to pay the money back in the end. WOW
grue 1 #8 July 29, 2006 To buy gear? No. To buy jumps? Yes. But not many, I think like 12-13cavete terrae.
swedishcelt 0 #9 July 29, 2006 I don't know about anyone being worked up. If you thought this was bad, the SC (stands for Speaker's Corner and NOT Swedishcelt btw) would have seriously bugged you out. Some people have a hard enough time paying for school that they have to sacrifice jumping to keep going. It would be nice to have the LUXURY to juggle school with skydiving, I don't have the time or assurance of being able to substitute one for the other like that... and if I did I wouldn't blame the President for my lack of budgetting skills. You take that risk? Then suck-up the consequences.
jeremy556 0 #10 July 29, 2006 Not worked up here, just thought it was funny to think interest on student loans is being used to fund a war. Let's compare a federal student loan rate with the prime rate: The interest rate on Stafford loans first disbursed beginning July 1, 2006 is fixed at 6.8%. The last reported prime rate is: 8.25 % Effective Since June 29, 2006
jumpnjivin 0 #11 July 29, 2006 Oh don't get me wrong I'm going to make sure that all my school and living expenses are taken care of before I even think about spending money on a rig or anything else. because once I got my degree I can do all the jumping I want.
 swedishcelt 0 #12 July 29, 2006 Bwahaha!! Sure you will, because you'll be instantly rich. Do bunnies fly out your bum too?
 jumpnjivin 0 #13 July 29, 2006 Here is the old rate though. The inflation increases Stafford loans to a fixed rate of 6.8% from 5.3% (the current interest rate for students that are in school is 4.7%). Oh well I guess I'll just have to pay it off sooner rather than later. I'll stay out of the whole political debate. I still think the increase sucks. I beg to differ. Once you start working, you'll realize how much you hate it and are going to look at making money skydiving, even it means taking a pay cut. Then you can't jump quite as much as you like. Trsut me on this. This ad space for sale.
