Do male skydivers have low standards?

Ahhhhhhhhhh . . . honesty. Finally, the last 5 or so posters have been honest. :D

Okay, it's been a day ... I'll be "honest." :D For whatever reason (call it lower standards, different standards, whatever) I do tend to get more positive attention within the skydiving community. Is it because of the ratio? Maybe. Is it because they have lower standards? Maybe. Is it because it's a community in which people are able to get to know me more fully (and thus my overall "package" of attractiveness is able to come through)? I have no idea. The reality of the world is some people are going to find me attractive, some people aren't ... and that's fine. I don't find everyone attractive either.

All I know is that I don't fare well in the bar scene or similar pickup scenes where it's all about who's got the biggest rack and the tighest abs; someone looking for that is not going to be attracted to me.

5 out of every 6 male skydivers are either celibate, gay, or sharing their girl with a bunch of other guys.

Lets see... 6 Guys...

1 Not getting any.
1 Gay
2 Married/Dating to Whuffos
2 sleeping with the same Skychick weather they know it or not.

Yep, Sounds about right.:o:P:D:|

I agree completely. I have found that I get a LOT more attention on a dropzone than I normally get in bars or clubs, and my dropzone (Skydive Atlanta) actually has a very good guy to girl ratio.

I have actually noticed that I get less attention now that everyone knows I'm married, and I've been around a while - no longer fresh meat, so to speak. Plus, guys tend to treat you more like equals when you can fly your slot. ;)

I think there is something about skydiving that brings out a kind of beauty in women that I look for. The smile you can see in a woman's eyes in freefall--even through the shield of her full face helmet

Neither, really. Just that it annoys me when people refer to me or other average-looking people as hot. :D

I can't comment with authority on this without photographic evidence. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that someone would find you hot. The fact that you skydive probably increases the hotness factor for a lot of skydivers, it's not all about looks.

Think she'll call or did I just get let down easily? You make the call. :P

it sounds like an easy let down to me... but there are worse ways she could say no... I wouldn't hold your breath by the phone though...

Heh...its all about perspective. I think she'll call when she is ready... if for no other reason than it does me no harm to believe that.

You and NWFlyer are right tho. No holding of breath and moving on. ;)
