SlashDog 0 #1 July 25, 2006 I raced home from work on Sunday... the weather had been bad in the morning but had cleared, so I hoped they were still jumping. I got there and sure enough, a guy had dropped in to jump. He was a production assistant for MTV's "AND-1" basketball reality TV show. His name was Scott and he and Bri and I chatted about entertainment stuff and I gave him some DVD's. I was checking my gear when I got bad news. Scott lost his packing data card so they couldn't verify that his reserve was packed within 120 days. We couldnt jump and Scott was looking at $75 to get it repacked at the next DZ. He only had 30 days left on it anyway, so he wasn't that pissed. I however went back to the trailer and fetched a heavy steel tire iron and proceeded to wreck the clubhouse, moving on to smash Scott's rental car headlights and generally menace the spectators at the picnic tables. The police came and surrounded the camper and I shouted expletives throug the bathroom vent at them. The mayor of Cleveland came by and I explained the situation to him. He was very understanding and told the cops to leave me alone and presented me with the key to the city, which we both used to smash the windshields of Scott's rental car. The mayor, police and I then hurled garbage at Scott's car as it sped into the countryside. Several Amish took shots with their .22 cal rifles at Scott as he drove by and young girls hurled their bonnets at him in disgust. That will teach him. Nothing personal. He was really nice. I wish we had gotten a jump in.
NWFlyer 2 #2 July 25, 2006 Who was that dude who did the whole stream of consciousness thing really well? I had to read him in high school English... Oh yeah, James Joyce. Now he was good at that. And even he annoyed me."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. MF42 0 #3 July 25, 2006 NW, are you a paragraph cop? Personally, I think a relatively short composition such as this can get away with ditching paragraphs. The other post about the fantasy DZ was better, though. Matt

The other post about the fantasy DZ was better, though. You know I'm a cop in general. I just find writing difficult to follow without a little structure."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
