Vectracide 0 #1 July 17, 2006 So, I want to gain access to a site that has been blocked by my work. Its not a porn site or anything, just my myspace site that I would like to work on. I have seen at one time, someone posted a proxy site that would redirect you to the site you previously not view. Anyone know what I am talking about here? Thanks. skydemon2 0 #2 July 17, 2006 I cant believe you would do this on work time you should be ashamed of yourself.....Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone! I like to start my day off with a little Ray of Soulshine™!!
Vectracide 0 #3 July 17, 2006 hah...yeah, but I don't have a "normal" job persay. I get paid to be ready for action when duty calls...so there is alot of downtime. We are allowed to surf the web when all chores are done. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....

Vectracide 0 #5 July 17, 2006 Well, that worked great for allowing me to view the profile, but unfortunately, they want money for sites that have log-in capabilities. Any others? B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
n_pertuset 0 #6 July 17, 2006 Yeah. Just google "proxy list", you'll get a bunch of them (some might not work, so its all trial and error.) Depending on which browser you use, you change the connection settings. Here is how its done in IE. Click Tools, then click the tab connections. Click LAN Settings. Check the box that says: "Use a proxy server for your LAN ..." then enter in the IP address and the port. Close all IE windows and re-open it. If you can view pages, you are viewing them through the proxy. A good way to ensure/check is to go to www.whatismyip.com. (Do it before, and after.. and compare). If you reload IE and it says cannot find url, the proxy is bad, so try another. ... Just don't forget when you're finished to uncheck the "Use a proxy server" button, because if not, you could forget about it one day, and when the proxy goes down, you'll spend countless hours trying to figure it out. If ya have any questions, just PM me.Nathan
Vectracide 0 #7 July 17, 2006 I just installed Primedius, so well see how that works. I have to wait 10 mintues until I access my account. It seems pretty sophisticated, so it looks like it will work. B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
