Hey motorcycle crew, I think I picked my first bike :)

Yeah, afaik it's never been sold in the US. Australian law (at least in Victoria) requires a 250CC or smaller bike for the permit period and first year with licence, so I figure I might as well get something I'll like, since it'll be my main mode of transport for a minimum of 15 months.

Nice. I wish the US had similar laws to prevent some )@(%@$$ from buying a Hayabusa & killing themselves & others on the first day. I started on a 50cc dirtbike & I have owned almost every cc bike up to 1000. I stopped at 1000 because (for me) it was the best mix of power & handling. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I learned a lot with each bike.

Bring it back to the states with you when you are done. Could make an interesting trade, or hell give it to me.:ph34r:
Smart laws they have over there.

i had a ninja 250 for my first bike. loved it. was light and would stop on a dime. and it toped out at 115 mph on the autobahn. got a virago 700 now. don't like it as much but it was cheap, and insurance here is way less for a cruiser than a sport bike. have fun with it and take a Motorcycle safety class!!!

*Waah* I can't afford to fix my canopy so I'm buying a sportbike. *Waaah*

:P

Wiseass.

Canopy is going to Precision tomorrow, I'll be having it repaired, but a 190 is coming back instead of a 210 B|

nice bike pretty hot for a 250. many of the 250's look like crap but that is expensive for a 250cc.. at least in the US. what's the dry weight and tank size of the bike?

Weight: 158k dry
Fuel tank: 13lt
Power: 40ps @14,500rpm

So about 350lbs, 3.4gal tank, 39.5 hp

Looks like I was misquoted on the price. I was told to expect to pay no more than 4-5k AUD for a "very decent" unit B|

You could only afford to have one of the two cells repaired?

Haha :D

No, I was ready for a downsize, so I figured now's the time :) (and I only blew one cell!)

Tell me about the Sydney Xmas boogie, I reckon I'll try and be there for it B|
