Well those jumps were from Wed, Thurs. Sat, and Sun. Awesome weekend.

Beer owed for:

C license

1st H&P from 2500

I'm sure there are more but I don't remember them all.

That would have been a little too far for us to drive anyway. I'm hoping to be in Salado next Saturday though.

How old was this canopy? What was it (manufacture, model and size)? How many jumps? Just curious.

:)
I found the freebag (or whatever the orange thingamajig is) for a tandem cutaway. We were starting to give up when I noticed an orange thingy.

Some fun, suitless dives at Byron on Saturday!

Precision Aerodynamics Fusion 210, about 170 jumps on it.

So, the part about it being Nate's "old" canopy was a joke? He sold it to you practically new? Unless you did something grossly wrong to cause this, it sounds like this is a manufacturer issue.

Yeah, it was pretty much new. I'll be contacting Precision on Wednesday to send it to them, and have 'em take a look at it.

Turned points for the FIRST time...VERY AWESOME!! Got some video of it! FIRST jump out of a 182...very fun. Note to self...don't jump up...that tire is awful big and can hurt (came about 6" from hitting my face).

Last jump of the day...was a little expensive, but not as expensive as grue's! Turned 6,7,or 8 points, but can't remember. Started pull @ 4,000 (my normal where I feel safe). The center of the chute kept collapsing. Unstowed my brakes so I could flare and get it inflated but went immediately into a left spin that I had no way to recover from. It took both hands to get my main cut away, but got the reserve pulled easily. So, FIRST reserve ride.

Had VERY BEAUTIFUL blue canopy over my head by 2,000, landed spot on and went looking for my trash. Didn't even occur to me to keep ahold of them (I couldn't have cared less about them at the time).

With help, found all of my trash which was right on the taxi-way.

Nice to know I can handle a high speed mal and not panic.

Cool thing, the reserve was due for re-pack on the 18th!

Damn this sport kicks my ass. Every weekend is something different. I LOVE IT!! Hopefully will get in 3-4 more jumps tomorrow!!:)
Oh, and taking my B license test tomorrow! Wish me LUCK!!B|

0:18:1.

Need new lines on the Katana. After 500 jumps, the openings are starting to get interesting. Should be getting new ones in the coming week.

Loaded up with lead and then did downwind landings all saturday. My yellow pants now have a decidedly green aspect to 'em.

Excellent weekend.

Well... I might go over to see if any tandems are out for the 4th... but I'll give my numbers for the rest of the weekend...

(I'm a monk, or I might as well be...:P):10:0

I did several jumps... a couple of smaller formations (2-4 ways RW jumps) outside video for a number of larger formations (8-10 ways getting better, but still need to work on my exits) and an awesome Hybrid jump.

here's this weekend's video... I hope its not too boring...

The theme song for the weekend is "Blame it on Me" by Bare Naked Ladies... :D

I loved the way the hybrid was videoed. It looked liked two skydivers were doing handstands on a coffee table. :)
Makes me want to go jump outta an airplane.
