MagicGuy 0 #8 July 5, 2006 QuoteRight now for me it's: Sigur Ros Citizen Cope Muse Taking Back Sunday Coldplay LOVE Coldplay. I just wish that they would do more music like the stuff from Parachutes as opposed to the stuff from X&Y. Huge difference. The older stuff is so much better. I have been on a Mike Doughty kick recently. Other favs are Maroon 5, Jason Mraz and the Chili Peppers.
MarkM 0 #9 July 5, 2006 QuoteRight now for me it's: Sigur Ros Citizen Cope Muse Taking Back Sunday Coldplay Sigur Ros? Think I got exposed to them in your namesake's movie. Icelandic band, no? They have some pretty tripped out vids if I remember. Hmmm, usually always listening to Smashing Pumpkins, New Order, older U2 and whatever Trip Hip / Chillout I have in my playlist. The rest of them are just as good. I haven't seen any of thier vids, but if they are anything like the music itself, I can imagine they'd by trippy. Slurp56 0 #12 July 6, 2006 The Juliana Theory. ALL of their albums... Based off of your current selection, you'll dig them. I burned an MP3 CD for my car and it hasnt left the player in over 6 months. http://www.thejulianatheory.com________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw. The111 1 #16 July 6, 2006 If you like Sigur Ros, you should check out Explosions in the Sky as well. Other good post-rock bands are Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, and A Silver Mt Zion (one of my favorite songs by them is in the intro to my Z-Flock video). All of those bands are good but EITS is definitely the most similar to Sigur Ros. For years I have classified/used both as "music to fall asleep to". www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I burned an MP3 CD for my car and it hasnt left the player in over 6 months. I'll second that. I'm not too crazy about their latest album, but Love and Emotion is Dead each had VERY long runs in my CD player. I saw those guys at a small club in Tampa a couple years ago and it was a really good show.www.WingsuitPhotos.com
