Yeah. There are the good old Stones, having a tour in Germany soon. I have cards, and if those oldies survive until then, it'll be a blast!!! I've seen them alread twice on stage - just imagine about 260 years are rocking on stage, yeah yeah B|B|

LOVE Coldplay. I just wish that they would do more music like the stuff from Parachutes as opposed to the stuff from X&Y. Huge difference. The older stuff is so much better.

I have been on a Mike Doughty kick recently. Other favs are Maroon 5, Jason Mraz and the Chili Peppers.

Sigur Ros? Think I got exposed to them in your namesake's movie. Icelandic band, no? They have some pretty tripped out vids if I remember.

Hmmm, usually always listening to Smashing Pumpkins, New Order, older U2 and whatever Trip Hip / Chillout I have in my playlist.

Yup, one of thier more popular songs is in Vanilla Sky. The rest of them are just as good. I haven't seen any of thier vids, but if they are anything like the music itself, I can imagine they'd by trippy.

The Juliana Theory. ALL of their albums... Based off of your current selection, you'll dig them. I burned an MP3 CD for my car and it hasnt left the player in over 6 months.

depends on my mood. however i have a long commute to work and i listen to an ablum by the following bands all the way through at least once a week: slayer, tool, clutch, dream theater, and nevermore. a few others that get heavy rotation when the mood strikes- strapping young lad, acid bath, into eternity, cynic (only one album i know but man it's good), zero hour, keoki, dj icey, racer x, buckethead, and primus.

Muse - Absolution
Coldplay - X&Y
A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms
Tool - 10,000 Days
A.F.I - Sing the Sorrow
System of a Down - Mezmerize
The Offspring - Conspiracy of One
The Offspring - Splinter
The Lightning Seeds - Dizzy Heights
----------------------------------------

If you like Sigur Ros, you should check out Explosions in the Sky as well. Other good post-rock bands are Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, and A Silver Mt Zion (one of my favorite songs by them is in the intro to my Z-Flock video).

All of those bands are good but EITS is definitely the most similar to Sigur Ros. For years I have classified/used both as "music to fall asleep to". ;)

I'll second that. I'm not too crazy about their latest album, but Love and Emotion is Dead each had VERY long runs in my CD player. I saw those guys at a small club in Tampa a couple years ago and it was a really good show.

Didn't know you liked the Pumpkins, Mark. In high school they were LITERALLY all I listened to. Next time I see you remind me to tell you a funny story about me, SP, and a lawyer.
