The shop I work at is close enough to the big show that we can expect some unusual traffic every year. Two summers ago a B-24 was parked on our ramp for a few days. I was told that was the world's only remaining B-24 in airworthy condition. Last Independence Day I got out of bed bright and early in order to catch a ride in a B-25. MF42 0 #7 July 4, 2006 Gotta disagree with you here. While the spitfire undoubtedly makes the "top five" list of beautiful airplanes, the winner has to be the Hughes H-1. I got to inspect the perfect replica that was built a few years ago, and that lady was flawless in every detail.So sad that it crashed and the owner died.
