filip0721 0 #1 August 2, 2007 So here's a question that might be slightly stupid though there are no stupid questions but here goes. Either mechanical or digtal does it pose a problem to take an altimeter on an airliner when traveling somewhere. I mean in the passenger area that is pressurized not the luggage areas which are not pressurized??? Will this screw with the functionality of the altimeter?? pilotdave 0 #2 August 2, 2007 Nope. Both compartments are pressurized anyway. But even unpressurized, it won't hurt the altimeter. Dave
beowulf 1 #3 August 2, 2007 If you have an altimeter that records jumps you might want to disable the logbook so that it doesn't add jumps.

I don't think unknowing passengers would enjoy warning sirens going off as you cruise back down through your hard deck as the aircraft is landing. -Patrick
