thatmaoriboy 0 #1 August 5, 2007 Does anyone know of a Flag Release system c/w bag, cut-away system available on the market? We can't use home made jobs as it will be used with military. Our old system has being deemed "unsafe" and we are looking for other systems. It would need to be completely separate from the harness as well. I have added a pic of one of the flags we use to fly. Emphasise USED TO as our old system was grounded over 2 years ago!!! Chairs T
tkhayes 348 #2 August 5, 2007 Mark Schlatter (Texas I think) builds them, built a 30x30' banner for us and it works pretty well
riggerrob 643 #3 August 5, 2007 When I worked with Mark Schlater - at Rigging Innovations - a decade ago, I built a couple of "flag" rigs for the Skyhawks (Canadian Forces Parachute Demonstration Team). The flag attached to the harness via a 3-Ring release. The 3-Ring release was an extension of the V back strap, similar to a Vector Tandem.
golowjoe 0 #4 August 5, 2007 Red at Flight Concepts has been building them for awhile . We built one for a 7,000 sqft flag that even deployed a 26ft round as it was cut away . You can reach him at (770)279-7733 . Joe
bob.dino 1 #5 August 6, 2007 If you want someone in a similar time-zone, I'm sure Dave Benson in Queensland or Craig Trimble in Victoria could help out...
skysurfcam 0 #6 August 6, 2007 Shoot an email to Dave Benson skydivedisplays@bigpond.com. He wrote the book on flag jumps and equipment, and lives just over the ditch. Cheers, Craig.
