redlinemike 0 #1 June 27, 2006 If you could go anywhere in the world you wanted for two weeks, in the month of August, where would you go and why? Keep in mind you have to include travel time and things like that. Basically, I am in the military and I get a certain amount of leave per year. After I aquire 60 days of leave anything more than that gets taken away if it is not used before October 1st. I need to burn 2 weeks of leave and I want to go somewhere nice. My top choice so far is Peru to see Machu Picchu and whatever else I can find. Pictures would be cool too. I just got back from Italy last december and I thought about New Zealand but I think I would rather go there during their summer. In a few months I have a 38 day trip going thru: Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece. So those are already taken. Cost is not much of a factor. I am not rich. I just have not spent much money in a while so I have a bit saved up and I do not really like to buy "stuff". I do not mind using a chunk of it for a good vacation. AggieDave 6 #2 June 27, 2006 A motorcycle trip that follows Route 66 (or whats left of it) would be a good time. A bike trip down through copper caynon has been done, but I also hear that that Mt. Biking in that canyon is amazing!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Gawain 0 #4 June 27, 2006 Seeing you're in Alaska, I'd pick Japan first, California second, Hawaii third. If you hit SoCal, you could find a tidy spot to stay and jump too. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! squirrel 0 #8 June 27, 2006 Belize....trust me...it is exactly what you see in a Corona add. Go to Roberts Grove resort, near Placentia....did it last year for a wedding. Just go, trust me...and bring your scuba gear. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?

henryvillar 0 #11 June 27, 2006 Costa do Sauípe, Bahia, Brazil. Check out the Breezes resort there. For some serious fun you can always check out the Hedonism resort in Jamaica! wmw999 2,452 #12 June 27, 2006 I've done the Macchu Picchu trip (hiked in and everything). It's way cool, but if you want to hike you have to have already reserved a couple of months ago. If you just want to take the train then no problem, there are tons of hotels. But the hike is incredibly cool. kbordson 8 #13 June 27, 2006 Peru is amazing. But take the time to see BOTH the Andes and the Amazon side of it. Or... Guatemala and Tikal is beautiful. Or ... Tour the US. (That's what I'm going to do in July and August with my nephew) Karen
