Smilie 0 #1 June 26, 2006 I am a huge nerd and I know it! I can't help it, all I can do is be true to who I am, and enjoy life! On that note, this weekend was almost perfect... I knew I was going to get my hundredth jump, so I scheduled a pedicure, to have the number 100 painted on one toe, and a little headdowner painted on the other! (See, I told you I was a nerd.) Thursday I get home to an email calling for Friday evening jumps, and I am all over it! I reschedule my nail appt, go to work at 5am on Friday, get off at noon, go box, go to the salon, get my toes done, pick up my daughter, and am wheels up for that 100th jump by six pm! (And Little Doobie's graduation jump, and his birthday!)With six jumpers onboard a caravan, we climbed fast! The jump was cool, I messed it up of course, but it was fun as hell! The whole mood of the evening was incredable. We land, we pack, we load again, this time with 14 on board... Climb took longer, but still cool. I did a solo to work on head down, and um, well I hit 180mph folks! I couldn't hold the thing for more than a few secounds at a time, but I was holding a heading, more or less... we land, we pack, and we load for a third, sunset, load. I did solo sit, 170 mph, and it was Redshoes 100th jump! (And a certain tandem masters first fun jump in Davenport!) We all sat at the bar, told stories, shared a shoot on the shootski, and got pied! WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get home shower off the whipped cream residue, (that stuff really does stink when dry), get up at 4 am Sat to go do it all over again! We all ate breakfast, oh wait, that's right, I almost forgot, on the way to the dz, about two miles away as a matter of fact, I got a flat tire! Good lord, I didn't think that was a good omen! Get to the dz, cook breakfast, jump, cook lunch, jump, only this one, a good friend Murphy did his first jump as a tandem and is now trying to find a way to pay for his new addiction! Cindy got to altitude for the first and second times... I jump again, we party all night, and do it all again today. Oh, there was a bluegrass festival across the street, so we went over there to hear them jam too... One of the bands came over this morning to jam for us! Talk about sweet! My friend, Angie came out for her first skydive, as a tandem, and is also in love, and will be taking the first jump course in the next few weeks! WooHoo!!!!!!!!! Hiedi got her 'A' licence today as well! (And a pie) Kara got back in the sky, and her sweetie did a tandem too! Like I said, almost the perfect weekend. Unfortunatly, a few freinds are leaving us. Redshoes will be gone for the AF learning new skills for a few weeks, WDiverez is gone also for the next couple of months, and uncle sam has decided to reassign Doc to a new state! Sad! :(We were also missing a couple of friends from the weekend; RH for a bit, Heron for schooling, and Tugboat like we always do this time of year... Scott was sick, hope you are better sweetie, Todack to sore muscles. Wish you guys could have been here, (we would have made that forth load Friday night)! Again, for those who have not known the shere joy of exiting an aircraft just 'cause the door is open, (and you have a parachute) I am sorry, get your but up and do it! For those that couldn't jump this weekend, I send many supportive thoughts your way, (you must have been very ill, and at least suffering withdrawls!) lol, help me! we need a name for Angie! Blue Skies to all, and lets start thinking of LP! ... Fear not death. Fear instead the unlived life.

Smilie 0 #4 June 26, 2006 lol, you think that was enthusiasm?! God you should have been there... Friday night I dropped the door on the plane, (bad girl) and I think I got a total of eight hours, if I am lucky sleep all weekend. I am still high. There is just something about getting shit done! And sharing the sport with two close friends for the first time? AWESOME! Kris, when you coming over? (I held a head down, and hit 180mph!) You going to LP? What is it, like 30 sleeps till than? hehehe Angie is signing up here tonight, going to use Angie22 until we find her a real name, check the pics of the weekend! The JessWay, missing Montana in the pic, he was slow to the plane. We have JenDoll, Redshoes, Doc, Wilson, the missing Montana, and ME! Pic 2 is the bluegrass band that came over today! They rocked! See, I told you I was a nerd, can you see the little blue headdowner on the toe? That is the kidlet, who by the way, can't wait for tunnel time in Denver! Nice arch! HeHe, Angie and I after her jump! She is hooked! Taking the class in three weeks! ... Fear not death. Fear instead the unlived life.

Hmmmm, how do I get the goverenment to pay for me to jump more? And the sun sets on another great weekend at WestPlanes Skydiving....
