jasonRose 0 #4 June 21, 2006 How did you end up getting the results without a Dr. Debrief? Most places at least around here will only give you your results with a MD or PA present to answer all your questions. So I would be concerned if your Doc just gave you the results. If you are after a second opinion get a referal from your Doc to a specailist he/she should have NP doing that. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!! The results are Greek to me. mm.. its not right, but sounds about usual. the waiting sucks. i know its hard.. i routinely wait a week for my blood results every 3 months, and its such a huge mind-fuck.. but your better off to wait until you speak to your specialist. You dont want someone to look at the results and give a wrong diagnosis and have you freaking out for the rest of the week. all the best with it *big hugs* stay safe and stay strong... jumperconway 0 #7 June 21, 2006 He told me of fluid around the lung and some possible sists but not worried. Hence the week wait. Pulmonary mass. Rt chest pain.

Rt chest pain. well if the quack says that he isnt worried, and is happy to make you wait a week, id take that as a good sign. if it was serious, no doubt you would have been called in. im not sure what that means (what he told you), but id wait to speak to him. If you are having a really hard time of it, can you call the doctor? Just explain to him that its freaking you out a little.. if he cant see you he might be able to at least put you onto some support services.. someone you can talk to.. If you need to talk.. PM me anytime if your not comfortable doing os in a public forum. I cant decipher your results, but happy to listen. FW
jumperconway 0 #9 June 21, 2006 Well the"quack" is a well respected "gp" and when he saw the chest x-ray, he had a C-T scan scheduled for me before I even got back to my office that day for the next day. He also told me that he would't second guess what the specialist would recommend.

Aussies call docs "quacks".. sorry should have explained that.. its just lingo and not a relfection on the doctors credentials. I call my HIV specialist "quack" and hes a highly respected specialist whom has worked worldwide in the sector for over 30 years... well *shrugs* i was just putting in my 2 cents as i know what its like to wait for critical test results, and the temptation to not wait and to start asking questions of people who are NOT handling your specific case. Ive been there and done it, and all i did was head fucked myself needlessly for a week or so. I personally would wait for the specialist opinion, rather than asking for assistance over the 'net. But its your tests, your health, so you do what you have to do. I hope it all goes well... stay strong.
Jaden 0 #12 June 21, 2006 Wait...I am not a doctor. I've spent many years researching the human body. All I can offer is my time & reasearch. Everyone else is correct... Please ask your doctor. I am truly sorry if I gave you the wrong impression as I only wanted to help.
scaryshari 0 #13 June 21, 2006 Conway needs someone to at least decipher the results he has on hand. Sometimes waiting for the doc, causes more anxiety than necessary. Right now, he has results that say :LKU)*_)()U:KJ:....maybe someone can at least put it in lay terms. Waiting sux. Be well Conway. is
lawrocket 3 #14 June 21, 2006 You've got something for your benefit - the doctor is wanting to wait a week before scheduling you. This is good. What you've probably got is the radiologists report that states what is seen on it. Radiologists typically offer a differential diagnosis, and always with the statement at the end, "I recommend clinical correlation of these findings." If you are having a rough time, get 100 or 200 bucks cash and make an appointment to see a pulmonologist in private practice. Cash talks better than insurance, and they'll get you in right quick if you've got cash. Edited to add: thsi might not be practicable without the films. Even though you've got a report, they usually want to see the films themselves. My wife is hotter than your wife.
Gforce 0 #15 June 21, 2006 I'm no cardiologist, and I haven't played one of tv either. IMHO, If the lines are up and down like a mountain range, that's probably good. If it's a straight line, not good. Not good at all.
