It really depends on the guy. You say you have only talked to him briefly in the past, so obviously you don’t know him well enough to know what kind of guy he is. If you have no interest in this guy at all, Then definitely stay at home. There is just no good reason not too. Otherwise you are putting yourself in a potentially awkward situation at best. However, do not go under the assumption that EVERY guy that offers to share a Hotel room with you is dead set on getting into your pants. That is simply not the case. If you stay in this sport and start traveling to boogies, you may find yourself sharing Hotel rooms, Tents, and RV`s with men every once in a while simply because there are a lot more of us. It is VERY important to know who is "Safe" and who is not. I would like to think that MOST guys are generally pretty trustworthy but there are unquestionably many that are not. I have shared room with Females in completely platonic situations many times at boogies. It is actually pretty common in this sport but you do have to be very selective on who you accept invites from. That type of confidence isn't something that everyone posesses. In addition, time in the sport helps you to develop a trusted cadre of people who will help you avoid those who aren't to be trusted, and who you know you can call on to help you if a situation goes bad.
