I just can't believe this. You all are so fucking wonderful! I can't stop the tears, but this time they are tears of joy. Words can't even begin to descripe my feelings right now. Just know that all the extra funds will go to the Best Friends animal shelter (www.bestfriends.org). Shannon and I loved that place and it was going to be one of the first stops in our tour across the country. Thank you all so much!

I am SOOOOOOOO happy to hear this. I'm a long-time member of theirs and Billy and I have sponsored, gosh, I can't even count how many animals. We were JUST talking last week about planning a mini-vacation there (my friends are going to Hawaii---I'll be in Utah) soon to volunteer.

I will send an additional donation to them this month for Shannon.

I never met Shannon (I live in Italy).
Though I did read some of Shannon's posts, she was a nice and cute girl indeed.
It's really astonishing all the love she spread all over the US skydiving community, that everybody is so touched by her loss.

Bob- I'm so glad to hear you are finding joy in this time of sadness. I will email you the little notes I've received w. each donation when they are all tallied and have arrived (I only have PayPal notes but I'm sure the mailed checks will also have words of love w. them). The notes touch my heart and truely show how loved Shannon is by the dz.com, skydiving and base communities. Not to mention her friends and family.

Best Friends animal shelter it is! If there will be a fund set up in her name, I will send the money in for that. If the money will go straight to the shelter, I can get that off to them. I have a ton of checks arriving by snail mail so the funds and love just keep pouring in. I don't want to bother you w. details right now so no worries on this. You've got other things on your plate right now. When plans are finalized and you are ready, I will get the extra funds off to the animal shelter in whatever manner you and the family see fit.

I have to run around like crazy again today but at the end of the day I will make a post w. the Day 2 donors and totals. It is amazing to see all the love coming in from all over the globe.
