My phone has never cutout, service everywhere, even out in the boonies, and the customer service is great---during a particularly difficult month when we had 3 deaths in the family and I racked up a million minutes, I called customer service and asked them to "have mercy"--which they did, and instead of a $500 bill, I had my regular monthly chargePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back. When I once switched to Cingular b/c of a great deal they had advertised, as soon as I got back to the beaches the damn service cut out. There was no service---and I"m not talking a rural beach town here---the area is well established. I immediately rescinded my contract and continued with Verizon (I hadnt' canceled my service with them yet). I've heard people say bad & good things about every cell service. Revillusion 0 #36 June 21, 2006 I have Verizon and find the coverage and service areas to be good. Billing however is a different story. I have a multi line account with an Ohio phone number. I'm in Georgia and my boys are in Ohio sitll. I can't conduct business in any store outside my Ohio account area. I can't buy a phone, pay a bill, upgrade a phone, buy accessories, etc. because the Georgia stores can't access my account. It's frustrating sometimes. Also, Verizon is notorious for "hiding" fees. Almost every month, I get at least one "roaming" charge and I'm on a National No Roaming Plan. I call customer service and get it removed. The practice is well known over all the wireless companies. The bills are complicated to read for a reason. They hope you won't notice it and/or question it. If they can slip just one charge of less than a dollar on each account every month, that's a huge revenue. Just my $0.02 worth.
