Memorial Jump for GFD

A 20 way speed star, a 2 way and a solo visiting jumper went up on a sunset formation load for Shannon at Davis yesterday. The 20 way built to 18. The 2 way built to.... two.

It was a really crappy spot. The two way and the solo pulled high and enjoyed the sunset on the way back to the landing area; we were the lucky ones who made it back. The people on the 20 way were spread out in the fields up to a mile east of the airport. It was great!


Thanks for the incredible sunset, Shannon. But next time you make me cry under canopy I'm gonna kick yer ass!

In Byron, sunset load, we made a 12-way "S".. then we broke it in the middle and made a slot for Shannon.. it was beautiful... and dark.. maybe it was a little after sunset..

We managed to get in a little different Memorial Dive for Shannon.. Sea Kev and I did a little backtrack and headdown with the Porter. I managed to get a few nice shots. Once we hit the ground I broke out some wine and some pink Boas. We did a sunset toast to our friend Shannon... Blue Skies Wild Child.

We dont have any pics of the actual tracking jump but we do have video that Jello Jay was supposed to get and take up to California with him. We all took a few pictures on the ground of the people involved in the jumps and as soon as I have them I'll post them.

We did get the Video Copied to Hippys camera. Tara has the Stills and I will be collecting them all together this week to make sure they get where they need to go.

We do not have video of the RW jump but It was cool as well. The spelled out S H A.. The key for each point was Carbone Flipping Double Birds.. On Break Off They all Saluted. Also on the ride to altitude, Scotty led us all on a Song that ended in a great Final "HER!!!".

When we were dirt diving the "S" load, a pair of mating dragonflys landed on Qs chin. It was really weird and really funny. I figured it was Shannons sick sense of humor.

We sang a nice "Her" song at 11k prior to exit. I had a phat swoop and imagined her under her Katana....
