JankyBob 0 #1 June 1, 2006 Hey everyone. Shannon's Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 4:00pm at the Ananda Center in Palo Alto. After the service we will be gathering at Shark and Michele's house in Redwood City to just hang out, tell stories and remember what a wonderful person she was. The Ananda center is a non-denominational facility that practices the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. It is a very spiritual place and I know Shannon would love that we are having the service there. I look forward to seeing you there. JankyBob 0 #7 June 1, 2006 I actually had to schedule the Memorial the same weekend as Bonnaroo, so I won't be able to make it. I am trying to get the concert promoter to let me auction off our VIP tickets and have the proceeds go to Best Friends. The tickets are non-transferable to eliminate scalping, but I am going to try. I was going to compete in the Poker Run 6-way Comp at Elsinore on the 17th, but I am not going to do that, now. I would feel terrible, if I wasn't at Shannon's Memorial. Are there any inexpensive hotels nearby that someone can recommend to me? Please post or send me a PM. Also, if anyone needs a ride up from SoCal, I am driving there. Looks like the cheapest flight for me is $404 and arrives at San Jose at 11:06AM on Fri the 16th. If this is convenient for someone to pick me up and give me a place to stay...please let me know so i can book it.
