CesspoolDave 0 #1 June 14, 2006 Hello everyone... I've got a 7 month old pup that needs a home. I helped deliver this little girl in December, and after a month trying to raise her, by myself, in an apartment, leaving her 12-14 hours a day, I decided I couldn't do it to her. She was born from a stray mom, and I sort of found myself in love with her. Her mom was hit by a truck in Eufala AL, and she was nursed back to health. The vet had no idea she was pregnant! The pup's were miracles! 2 of them died, and 2 were born! I named her Harlee, because she's jet black, and I just thought it was a cool name... She's been living at a friend's house for the past 4-5 months, but that's worn it's welcome. She's a great dog, but it's either give her up for adoption to someone, or my friend is taking her to the pound. No other options. If you're interested... She's currently in Panama City... email me at CESSDAVE@HOTMAIL.COM Blue Skies everyone..."I have no fear of falling, but I hate hitting the ground" -The Badlees
skydiverbrian 0 #2 June 14, 2006 You can do this. I got both of mine when they were puppies (they're 120# and 55# now) and they stayed home for long periods of time alone. It was a challenge, and I'll admit that some household items had to be replaced, but it was worth it. They are both very disciplined, and live in a happy home full of love and attention. They may not have had that opportunity with someone else. They're living proof that just because you can't spend 12 hours a day with them doesn't mean they'll turn out bad. You should keep her. She's already 7 months old. The really hard part is over. And I'm sure she'd appreciate being able to stay with someone who cares for her and who she cares for too. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
skydivegirl 0 #3 June 14, 2006 Hey Cessi... why don't you put a listing on PetFinder.com. I'm sure you'll get a lot of response since she's young and such a cutie. Also, be selective about who you give her too. There are a few questions you need to ask to lessen the likelihood that she would be abandoned in the future by the adoptive parents. Give me a call later & I'll explain. (I fostered dogs for a non-profit organization in TN. We used PetFinder all the time.)Pink Mafia Sis #

jdthomas 0 #5 June 15, 2006 why are there no other options? do you have to give her up? is she trying you to much, chewing stuff and all of that puppy activity? If you take her to the pound she will be killed, unless you take her to a no kill shelter she will be done. Older dogs don't stand a chance sometimes. We adopted a dog that could have been hell, but we worked her into a great dog and she is awesome and I would not trade her for a million dollars. She cost us 15$ from the shelter and we have almost 5,000$ into her vet needs, but would not give her up for anything. Keep the dog, and if you can't then try an adoption agency for dogs....
