SkymonkeyONE 4 #1 June 14, 2006 We have been getting a lot of rain from the "former" tropical storm here in NC. It's raining like Noah's flood outside right now. While it's been raining hard for some time, we are just now starting to get the wind. I am pissed; I was supposed to be doing AFF all day today. Stevehend15 0 #2 June 14, 2006 That storm messed up my canopy course! I am so PISSED! I was still able to take the ground school and had lots of one-on-one time with scott miller. Even gave me some packing tips. BUT DAMMIT, I wanted to jump.

I'd be super happy for some rain right now, we're back on a burn ban after getting 2 or 3 months off of it so far this year.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." boinky 0 #9 June 14, 2006 Could you send some of that MY way? My flowers and roses would love you for it! I water at night, but it's just not the same thing as REAL rain....and is usually all sucked dry by morning again. Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? PLFXpert 0 #10 June 14, 2006 It merely drizzled here for a straight day & half on my coast. I mean, I like a good rain or a good sunny day. But the constant drizzle shizzal is for the birds. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #11 June 14, 2006 Quotewell, just be thankful you aren't out playing "soldier" in the woods. I actually just got back from another contract in Virginia on Monday. I rode my Road Glide up there. 85 miles of the 250 mile return trip were in heavy rain. At least I was smart enough to bring my rain gear! It's like 105 in here, and I was supposed to be drafting office memos." Suck it up, cupcake. (Damn. Mr. Blue is prolly gonna put the hurt on me now. bbarnhouse 0 #18 June 15, 2006 QuoteHave a safe flight - A safe flight!!? We were on final at Charolette and...ya know how it goes when you spend a lot of time on airplanes..when they bank hard right something is amiss!! Try an aircraft taking off on the runway where we were landing Oh can you say go around?! Then machanical issues that left the connecting flight on the tarmac for an hour! The good news is I made it home and my puppies don't hate me! LOL Then again who wouldn't want McGowan as a babysitter? (Mouth he smells wonderful) Quote It was great seeing you! freefallfreak 0 #19 June 15, 2006 QuoteTry an aircraft taking off on the runway where we were landing Oh can you say go around?! Subject: Dallas Air Traffic Control......... Those Southern Texas boys have a way with words.... Dallas Air Traffic Control: "Tower to Saudi Air 910--You are cleared to land eastbound on runway 9R." Saudi Air reply: "Thank you Dallas ATC. Acknowledge cleared to land on infidel's runway 9R -Allah be Praised !!" A moment later... Dallas Air Traffic Control: "Tower to Iran Air 171--You are cleared to land westbound on runway 9R." Iran Air reply: "Thank you Dallas ATC. We are cleared to land on infidel's runway 9R. -Allah is Great !!" Pause: ...... then suddenly!!! Iran Air: "DALLAS ATC! DALLAS ATC!!!" Dallas ATC: "Go ahead Iran Air 171?" Iran Air: "YOU HAVE CLEARED BOTH OUR AIRCRAFT FOR THE SAME RUNWAY GOING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS!!! WE ARE ON A COLLISION COURSE!!! WE ARE ABOUT TO HIT!!!! INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE!!! Dallas ATC: "Well bless your little hearts. Y'all be careful now and tell Allah 'hey' for us -- ya hear?."
