I could be wrong but I remember seeing somewhere that the car was a hybrid U.S. European design to compete in the europe racing circuit. I think even Barry Meguiar would agree to that and he ONLY drives black cars. Shelby's colors, when he was really building and racing in the 60s, was always blue with white stripes. It's the ONLY color combination that makes any sense in terms of an investment as that's the color scheme that will -always- command the highest price at the auctions later since a true car collector will want to have the matching set.
