Yes, I'm one of those people that misspellings bother. But, I don't usually correct people. I've never been able to read a book without noting the errors. It distracts me from understanding what is being said. I have to read it twice... once for errors and once for meaning.
If I reread one of my own posts, and I notice an error, I will edit it. If I quote someone in a reply to a post, I'll correct what they wrote. And if I'm not sure how to spell a word, I'll either use a different word or look up the spelling in the dictionary.

Right, but the rules make sense sometimes and sometimes they don't. 
I say, put commas where you think they should go to have the sentence read the way you want.

Spelling and grammar do matter here where the written word is what we use to convey what our thoughts are. If you use poor grammar and spell a lot of words wrong people will (subconsciously) think you're uneducated and don't know what you're talking about. If you're unsure of how to spell a word there is a spell check here, it only takes a few moments to use it.
The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
I just like to give people shit, especially when something looks particularly funny to me.
