That has got to be a fake. What would be the purpose of having him stand there when it could simply be propped up?

Like I said, it's the Army.:P 9 times out of ten that sort of thing is fake though.

Theres plenty of stupid people about, i mean check this person "it never crossed my mind that there would be any danger involved"

That's horrifying.

Both sides of my family come from a very small town in southern Mississippi, that happens to be the county seat for rodeo championships. Before you hit state level, you go through your county level. Rodeo's are tough. You can get hurt, badly. From a horse whipping its head back into your face to a bull slamming you against the fence.

Guy holding the target must have been suffering from a prior accident that left him paralyzed from the neck up.

I'd be raging too if something was squeezing my dick and balls that hard. :S

I cant imagine anyone being that stupid. Anyone in the ARMY can tell you, yes the M-16 rounds do fit in the AK-47 but the AK is so in accurate that you generally have to fire off quite a few rounds just to hit your target. I know this much and I am only a PFC with very little back ground in weapons. So a leader of any rank should know this also and should never allow any soldier to put themselves at risk by doing what that soldier did. Its too risky.

Money is on it being a fake

A 5.56 round does not fit the chamber for a Ak-47 properly as the Ak is chambered for 7.62x39 . If you fire a Ak with a 5.56 round in it , it could get interesting if the round actually fires . Now if you have a M-16 that has been chambered for the 7.62x39 round it would be a perfect fit but the U.S. military uses 5.56 for their M-16's . There are AK's chambered for the 5.56 round but they are rarely encountered in military hands as it was a marketing ploy by Norinco to get the AR-15 shooters to buy a Ak . The round he was holding in the video was a 7.62x39 round and it looked like the designation for the round they were "testing" was the 7.62x51 according to the text in the video . If you are firing 5.56 rounds from a AK chambered for a 7.62x39 round I want to see the video .
