If you have any understanding of the characters from the books.

The movie changes way too much of the basic principles of who the characters are.

Jean becomes a psych patient with a multiple personality disorder where one of her "personalities" is the Phoenix who is more like the Dark Phoenix.

Logan becomes a middle aged punk type that gets little respect for his age and level of maturity. (In fact, Hank talks down to him!) - But he does get to kiss Jean

Kitty is like 14 max! And hitting on BOBBY (not Peter) {and small point.... but NO lockheed!!}

Rogue is an uncertain dependant type personality that thinks her boyfriend (again.. Bobby?!) will like her better if she didn't have powers.

Cain and Charles don't even recognize each other, despite the fact that they're brothers!


But it was funny when Juggie did say "I'm the Jauggernaut, Bitch!"

To be honest i hated all the xmen films, not my cup of tea at all.

I have never read the comix, had not seen either of the others. Yesterday in between soccer games my family chose that one to go see to kill some time. There was nothing I was interested in so I hung out in the coffee shop and did homework - time much better spent it sounds like.

For the record - my son loved it.

The film destroyed the characters and the story. I came out of the movie feeling dejected, it just wasn't good at all

Its been a while since I had read the comics/books and kept up with the characters and it STILL bugged me.

Here's my personal take on it.

I don't like xmen in the first place. They are all gayer than when gay came to gaytown, (and I had, you know, friends when I was a kid) but I decided to go see it anyways.

These are the only 2 things I got from the movie:

1.) Magneto is a level 4 wizzzard.

2.) Sometimes you just gotta stab a bitch.

Good. Cyclops was one of the most boring characters, along with Rogue, Storm, the woman doctor and, well everyone except Wolverine, the professor, Magneto, Mystique and that wolf man thing.

The rest are boring with boring superpowers, little do-gooders who'll amount to nothing! Yes indeed.

I wasn't gonna see it, but hearing the Cyclops dies - now I will. Maybe he is torn to tiny bits by something.

Heh. Singer took Marsden with him to Superman Returns so he didn't have as much time to devote to X Men. Killing him was a great solution to the scheduling conflict.
