1. Mandisa blew me a way. I predict final 3. Vocally, better than my other 2 playoff choices. Her face is just beautiful...

2. Chris, Chris Chris...I think I've got a crush. I'd listen to him - he's the real deal and realy does stay true to himself. Walk the Line was really neat. I can see that version go to the airwaves.

3. Kelly was, as usual, cute. Her performance really wasn't THAT strong - but, hell she was singing Patsy Cline. She's going to make it, regardless.

I PICK CHRIS to win.

Others...Katherine is so uneasy and I just don't like her, although she CAN really sing...Ace was pretty weak. He's cute but I'm old and I just don't care. I'm still pissed that Chicken Little is still there....

.......honestly, who is going to roll down the windows and turn up their radio on a nice long drive. I'd take a bat and beat someone to death for forcing that on me. There's my 2c. Greenies need to create a puke icon (insert here).

Oh...and Taylor...I like him, but his song choice was very, very poor, although his performance was good. Not gonna make top 3, cuz he can't please the masses. However, I'll buy his stuff.

YUP- it all started with JD Fortune coming up with his own arrangements!

But, seriously, the show has "evolved" to some extent, and Chris was able to do what he did last night in part because of Bo's success last year. And don't think for a minute the producers weren't watching that very successful other show last summer, either! Even the band this year is more versatile.

OK, mean comment here---- Does anyone else think Paris looks like the kid from Different Strokes wearing his Grandma's makeup and clothes?

I was wrong about JD...while that show was running, I was all about Marty. JD is a better fit for INXS, and is part of their essense. So, I was wrong...

Tigra you hit the nail on the head. Bo did help open that door. I'm just surprised that AI didn't force him to "style" the song differently.

I'm with you about Ace "The Face"! He's cute, but his vocals aren't there and Simon seems to be the only judge that notices! I kind of want to compare him to Constantine last year- he's much better looking and more natural on stage (his sultry looks ARE sultry instead of "hammy") but Constantine actually had a stronger, better trained voice. He'll be a fan favorite for a while and there will be a huge uproar when he's voted off. And next year, he'll be the guy in the audience sucking up to Ryan Cabrera or some other "real" celebrity!

Last night AGAIN she could barely sit up in the chair and her eyes were half shut! And with all the crap that went on about her last year-hit and run arrest, drug rumors, Corey Clark- one would *think* the producers would have insisted she get her act together this year if she wanted to keep her job.

I was thinking a great idea for a drinking game would be to do a shot every time Paula punched Simon and a double every time Simon used the word "hideous"! But, with Paula behaving the way she is, everyone would be passed out before the 4th performer! (Randy says Dawg and Dawg Pound way to much to be a part of the game!)

I agree. Its actually uncomfortable to watch. Funny, because the original post in this thread was about Paula's bizarre behavior at one of the earlier elimination shows. Simon was egging her on that night, even getting her to say stupid things for his own amusement. (took a page out or Ryan's playbook there!) Now he just seems sick of her!

If its a health problem, she should come clean with it, because she really just looks stoned and I've got to think chronic illness is a better sell to the public than drug addiction! If its raising eyebrows on this site, imagine the attention she's getting elsewhere.

Mandisa... I agree with you. The girl has really got a voice! She blows me away!

Chris is really cool. Got the Vin diesel look going. He is too reminiscent of 'Creed'. He really does do a good job.

Kelly, reminds me a lot of Carey, from last year. Cute lil' Southern girl with a great voice. Her innocence and naivte, really add to her personality. I hate to admit it but, I remember hearing Patsy Cline's version as a kid... when it first came-out! Kelly did a great rendition!

Kevin? Sheesh... gimmee a break! Since there is no vote limit , the bubblegummers just pile-up the votes for him. I will say, his demeanor was a bit better this week. Really! Who wants to listen to a 'teeny-bopper crooner? His voice is blah!

Taylor? The guy is a hoot! Good-good voice. Really 'feels' the music. ALL entertainer! Personally, i thought his song selection was good. Heck, 'Not Fade Away', was a smash hit for The Rolling Stones in 1965! I wouldn't mind seeing Taylor win the whole enchilada! BTW... Taylor has completed work on an album with Keb-Mo! How's that???

I watch this years Idol and am reminded of last year's contestants.

Have you noticed that when he can't really think of something good to say, he says, "You still my Dawg, though!" or "You're forever in the Dawg Pound!"? Kind of like when Paula tells the girls how pretty they look when they just made a disaster out of their performance? "Well, it was pitchy, but who cares? According to the press, Paula has had a problem with pain-killers. The pain-killers were for a back injury from when she was a Lakers cheerleader. She admits the problem and has been trying to get off of them. The producers like her and have been 'working' with her.

Once again, I really wish you were voting for the worst performer, not your favorite. "Fan Club-based" voting is silly, particularly towards the end. No matter how shitty a performer is, their fans will vote five and six times a night to keep them there longer than they need be. That's certainly the case with Kevin and Lisa right now. I am not a Paris fan either, though she is a great singer and had a very-polished performance last night.

I still think Chris will win, but his arrangement last night started out very slow. Kelly really pulled herself out of the hole last night. I thought she sucked completely last week. Her problem is that she just doesn't know anything but country. I think she is likely to tank some of the later "themed" performances.

Lisa just needs to go. Kevin sings well, but he needs to go quickly as well. Ace can fucking blow me; he needs to beat it. I hate cheesy guys like that.

I agree with you AND Simon about Taylor last night. Blah! Since there were a handful of really standout performances and he's NOT a teeny bopper or a hottie like Ace, a blah performance that doesn't showcase his talents will put him on the bubble with Bucky and Elliot. Lisa was just so so also, but she's a teeny bopper and she'll get through.

I agree with what you are saying, about the voting. I think, the way the producers and cell-phone company looks at it is, a way to make more money. You get millions of teeny boppers, text-messaging over and over again... that's $$$$.
