I can eat a dozen big macs and sleep 14 hours and I will be skinny as a pin!!! clearly you didn't read the section about sleep being a member of the 3 part equation. i'll spoonfeed you: less food + more excercise + more sleep = more effective weight loss ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
weegegirl 2 #6 May 24, 2006 Did they measure the study between heterosexuals and homosexuals? Was there a difference?
ACMESkydiver 0 #7 May 24, 2006 "Yo!" I guess I can prove that theory...unfortunately. I used to work nights at Amazon.com doing inventory control, I'd watch our babies during the day, and go help my husband with business prospects in the evening up until my shift (when did I sleep? Twice on the road, unfortunately. That cost about $16,000 when I hit someone as I fell asleep. ) I was on the Atkins diet, I was sleeping 2-3 hours DAILY, and I didn't lose a damn pound. I was SO MAD!!!! And in the 'no shit' department, my doc actually told me this was a major factor for me. I get 2-3 hours at a shot (our twins have sleep disorder ) I just don't fucking get it though. -Less sleep, forgetting to eat = skinny, you'd think?! All the women I know of -and there are quite a few- that regularly 'forget' to eat, eat tiny amounts, get no sleep = over weight. That SUCKS!!!!! We cannot fucking win. I am going to get BIGGER and tell them all to go to hell. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Well, I just thought that might make sense since you have such heavy footed lesbians living above you. Maybe they don't sleep enough.

ladyskydiver 0 #16 May 24, 2006 I always love studies like these. Exactly what scientific methods were utilized with the various individuals to ensure that everything is as controlled and regulated as possible to rule out anything but sleep as the way to help lose weight? What is the statistical difference/chi square analysis and how was the data arrived at? Were the diets, lifestyles, and health conditions of the individuals identical? (Whoops! It's humans...nope...not identical.) Is it an accurate representation or is it like most statistics and BS? Exactly what measures were taken and ensured so that every individuals lives were maintained and that nothing happened to throw off the results? How were different financial/job/family related issues factored into the equations? hmm...I could go on and on, but I've got better things to do. <-- off to study geneticsLife is short!
