In Clayton NC 5/28/06. Time to get in 2 or 3 jumps. Where to go???

Recommended Posts

I will be in NC over the weekend. I can only squeeze in a few jumps in on Saturday morning. This is after all a family weekend.

So here is my "problem." I've been to Carolina Sky Sports last year and had a great time. Everyone made me feel like a long lost friend. I enjoyed the vibe and was a nice place to jump.

Raeford has history and I think I should make it a point to get there to jump at least once. I've heard nice things about it and am always happy to try someplace new.

Finally there is Southern Comfort Skydiving. I honestly have not heard too much about it. Love the name though. :D

All are 1 to 1.5 hours away. Looking for someplace to get a few quick jumps and head home by about 1PM. I jump at the Ranch so I am comfortable with DZ's that run multiple Otters. I am looking to work on my belly flying.

Help me decide!!!

Reaford is great. Plenty of Military if you can deal with the personlaity type. They will welcome you though.

Being military has nothing to do with being a skydiver... Yes we welcome all. We are one big family made of many diff people, types, cultures, personalities, etc...

Ok, I see what's going on here. You skimmed over the post only really read one thing bolded it and decided to make a reply being defensive. I wasn't trying to be offensive. I am have been a Marine for 10 years and I am one currently. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to a military personality. Just because a soldier is a skydiver doesn't mean he or she doesn't have a personality type that may be hard to understand. If you read all my post I did say they will welcome him there.

There will be a ton of people jumping at Raeford on that day, so come on down. I will be out of town in Savannah (actually Tybee Island), but there will definitely be a good crowd here.

-manifest number is (910) 875-3261

Parkton (Southern Comfort) is a fun place to jump as well, but I am not sure if they will have their King Air issue resolved by this weekend. You have to go by us to get to them, so I don't see any reason why you couldn't jump both places if you liked. They are 23 miles from us and there are a bunch of local jumpers who jump at both dropzones. I worked at Parkton last Friday all day and Raeford the rest of the weekend.

So it looks like it will be Raeford. I really enjoyed Carolina Sky Sport; but, this is a chance to try something new. Yes I will bring beer. :)
See you Saturday morning!!

I'll bring a case of something nice. It's always better to be a good guest. I'm excited. Now I need some people to do some 2 or 4 ways to work on my belly flying.

See you soon.
