simplyputsi 0 #28 May 19, 2006 I just want to add that rathbuns webpage has gone to shit apparently. It used to be much better. It appears they would like you to know all the reviews they have gotten. It's an awesome place with great food. That blueridge grill looks good though. You could also look into NAVA. ATL has way tooo many restaurants to pick from.Skymama's #2 stalker -

TheAnvil 0 #32 May 20, 2006 Junior's which was across the street from the V, was good food too. There's something to be said for a Varsity burger though...I'm a '94 Tech grad and I think one is still in my stomach! jumpnrandy 0 #33 May 20, 2006 QuoteIt's actually in Kennesaw, but we are staying at the Renaissance Hotel by the airport (i dont know how far away it is). Kennesaw and the airport are about as far away from each other you can be and still remain in the metro Atlanta area. Traffic is a mess between 7 and 10 AM and 3 to 7 PM. The drive from your hotel to Kennesaw will take well over an hour and possibly over 2 hours each way. Let your boss know this. He might want to rethink the hotel location. There are several nice places to stay in the Marietta / Kennesaw area. As far as diner, I second the nomination of The Blue Ridge Grill. It’s a wonderful place. Also consider the Atlanta Fish Market. The Buckhead Diner is another great place to eat. Don't let the name Diner fool you. Hope you enjoy our home town. http://www.buckheadrestaurants.com
freefallfreak 0 #34 May 20, 2006 Junior's isn't there any more, I don't think. It's been quite a while since I was in downtown Hotlanta cause I moved a while back. 94 is a little past my time. They closed my old school down in about 72 or 73. Hell, I ws already out of the service by then. I'm an oldie (but a goodie, lol). The lure of a Big V dog and burger still has it's appeal, tho, and every time I go through Hotlanta, I stop and buy 20 chili dogs and 20 chili burgers, plus a truck load of onion rings. I then take them home and wrap them in two's, freeze them and when the urge hits, I go for my heartburn med's and some good ole down home greasity food. TripleF (Uhh, our old unofficial school song went something like this....Sung to the tune of "Ramblin Wreck from Ga Tech) She's a tiddely tot from Agnes Scott and a f*ck for 50 cents. She lays her ass upon the grass and her pants upon the fence. She'll s*ck your slimey old peter, and hug you around the neck, Singing glory glory to Ga and to HELL with Ga. Tech. If she should catch an engineer behind the campus walls, She'll take him to the outhouse and amputate his balls. And if the bastard hollers she'll wring his f*cking neck Singing glory glory to Ga and to HELL with Ga. Tech *giggle*) "Upon seeing the shadow of a pigeon, one must resist the urge to look up."
