goodnplentygirl 0 #1 May 18, 2006 I am going to Atlanta Georgia for work June 6-8, and my boss is going to take us out to dinner. Is there any restaurant that I should suggest we go to? Some place famous, or just a place that is one of your favorites? I love to travel and I've never been to Atlanta before, and even though this is a short business trip, I'd like to eat somewhere only Atlanta offers. Now if only I can figure out how to sneak a jump in.... my body, my choice

kelel01 1 #3 May 18, 2006 Taverna Plaka is really good . . . and fun. And of course, Wednesday, June 7th is a Neighbors night, where there'll be dozens of skydivers. Jumper03 will be in town that night, too!
 goodnplentygirl 0 #4 May 18, 2006 Really? That would be cool. I went to high school (O'Keefe) at 6th and Techwood Dr. We always considered Tech to be located on a part of our campus. Of course, the Jackets disagreed but we were there first, lol. This was the oldest continuing public institute of learning in Hotlanta. It is now owned by Ga. Tech and used for office space but the building is basically the same as it was when it was first built. I cut lunch every day and went to the Greasity for lunch cause it was better food than was served in the cafeteria, which isn't saying very much, but I learned to love the chili dogs, chili steaks, onion rings and fried peach pies, along with Varsity Orange drinks. We mustn't forget the NIPC's either, (For the uninitated that's No Ice, Pure Chocolate milk) Hey, cheap food, good people, fast service and convienent to travel to from school. Besides, we weren't allowed to cut lunch or leave the school grounds while in school so it made the daily trip an adventure, trying to dodge the principal and his cronies, lol.
