My firsts in Eloy..... first twin otter jump, first beech jump, first skyvan jump. first balloon jump, first dc-3 jump, first jumping out, looking up at a the 5 plane formation off to drop over 100 canopies first time i ever looked up and saw well over 100 canopies in the sky at once. (record in new zealand is around 32 )lol Am not kidding you, this place is MAGIC, it is so magic that i thought i would teach myself how to swoop a downsized canopy, tried to flatten out with the back risers, did not relaize i had to pull them down more than inch, smacked the ground wingloading a 129 at 1.6 and NOTHING. no pain, nothing! bigway 4 #17 May 17, 2006 Oh yeah, the people there were good, real smooth crew there and everything was made to feel easy, and it was a boogie at the time. I don't know if they always have the DC-3 there. I was not that impressed with it but for novelty sake from watching Freak brother vids it was a buzz. Took for ever to get it up but what a sight looking back at the plane on exit. Beech 99, did my first out of that the other day, just become my fav plane after a porter, that is some sick climb rate to altitude! Stayed at some motel there with a skydiver discount, dirt cheap as was the room but did the job. one of those yellow motel signs number 8 or something, i dont know.. A big group of us heading out to the WFFC and after being at Eloy xmas boogie the WFFC has a shit load to do to beat Eloy.
