PLFXpert 0 #51 May 16, 2006 QuoteBlah...I know that you were being honest and complimentary to both tall and shorter women, but it makes me feel less womanly to know that men think that shorter women are adorable and that the tall women are the sexy ones. I'd much rather be sexy instead of cute. Whoever said the two are not mutually exclusive is dead-on These threads are silly to me--b/c men really don't know what they want until they see it. And women always think if they're tall, men go for shorter girls, and vice versa. Same goes for hair color, ethnicity, body type, etc. Like the other day in the hair color/eye color thread, a few said they prefer blonde/blue-eyed (I am blonde, blue-green eyed). Yet I can't tell you how many times I've heard men raving about Brazilian women. With all the variety in this world, I really don't see why people worry about what the other sex is looking for. Just be yourself, guy or girl, and plenty-o-fish will want thatPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #54 May 16, 2006 I dated a professional surfer who was Hawaiian and "supposedly" had a preference for very dark-tanned skin.... that is, until he met me. And I thought I had a major preference for tall men until I fell in love with my hunny (he's 5'11"). When asked "my type" I reply "Funny."Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. PLFXpert 0 #56 May 16, 2006 Iz OK---I thought I was tall until the thread where everyone said their height I'm usually taller than other girls, but at 5'8" I've recently realized I'm of incredibly average height Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #58 May 16, 2006 QuoteThese threads are silly to me-- I quite honestly feel that *most* threads on DZ.com's Bonfire can be considered "silly". Obviously, these particular threads were done tongue in cheek. No, I am not concerned about my petite size, nor have I ever much worried about what men like or don't like about me. (I have a healthy self image.) To be frank, I don't spend my personal time thinking about the random stuff that we post about on these threads, unless it's hilarious or posted by a friend. When it comes to a person truly liking another, I am quite sure that looks pale in comparison to the other's personality. At least, they do in my book. I've never felt the need to date only a certain "type" of guy, either. In any case, I expect the same respect and open-mindedness from one who would be attracted to or interested in myself. Just my personal thoughts on this subject.

I've even lost arguments by being picked up and thrown over someone's shoulder until I was prepared to be quiet, it certainly shut me up (5ft 1, I'm a little person) I'm 5' 8", tall women don't intimidate me at all...
