shropshire 0 #1 May 16, 2006 I've been staying at a country hotel recently and they have loads of Peacocks. They a cute looking but dont 'alf make a noise. At night, they roost in a big tree in the grounds and then act as a really annoying alarm clock as soon as it gets light (.)Y(.) Lindsey 0 #4 May 16, 2006 When I was a kid, my grandparents had peacocks at one of their farms. Those pictures bring back fond memories :) linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. skydiverbrian 0 #6 May 16, 2006 Not only are they loud, but as evidenced in your picture, they like to get on things. Their claws scratch the hell out of your car. Park at the next hotel over. HOLY CRAP!! (sudden realization) That's what must have been making that gawdawful noise in the mornings!!! Damn we thought it was some deranged tropical bird or something. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Very cool birds though. Great alarms. JBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Girlfalldown 0 #18 May 16, 2006 I have this friend named Bernard. When Bernard was a kid he used to go over to his friends farm-house. They had a whole gaggle/flock/herd of peacocks and they made this strange sound when they heard noise that sounded very much like BERRRRNAAAAARRRDDD! BERRRRRNAAAAAAARRRRD! He was always freaked out by them because he thought they were calling for him and he used to make his friends parents walk him home because he thought they were trying to get him. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
