Gherkin - my little pickle Garnish - was supposed to mean something to add color and flavor to our lives, but it ended up meaning what the vet was going to do to my paycheck when I couldn't pay the bill. She had a seizure disorder that required big bucks for treatment. Gadget - a small object, that appears to be useful, but is often unnecessary Gadget is the only one that is left.
