skydiver1717 0 #7 May 5, 2006 Sometimes I look back and think why didn't I break up sooner. The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be? It is the same the angels breathe. — Mark Twain,
flyangel2 2 #8 May 5, 2006 Don't look back, only look forward!May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
weegegirl 2 #9 May 5, 2006 There's always a reason you broke up when you think about it hard enough. But yeah, there are some exes that I still think are the bomb. But again, there is always that bottom line. In the end... always look forward, not back.

livendive 8 #12 May 5, 2006 QuoteFYI, it was her who broke up with me. I'm waiting for Karma. I've been on both sides, with both the looking back and going "DAMN" and with the waiting for karma. For that matter, I've also seen karma come through both ways. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

ChuteCowboy 0 #23 May 5, 2006 I lurk a lot of the forums on dropzone.com and it never fails to amaze me how bad 75% of the personal advice on these boards is. Alot of it falls into the categories of humanistic existential drivel and alot of it is just based on really broad assumptions. I'm not speaking specifically of this post because i've seen it much worse in other posts, but its definitely reared its ugly head here. There's a difference between not looking back and not dwelling on the past. If we never look at the past we can't learn from it, and if we can't learn from it we are doomed to repeat it. Maybe he tried to put a ring on her finger and that's why she broke up with him, so don't jump to conclusions. A psychiatric professional would have a field day with some of these personal advice threads.
