Andy_Copland 0 #1 May 1, 2006 OK im confussled. Over here when i go into a pub i ask for a beer and get a lovely pint, just what do you get over your side of the pond? Also i just saw a beer commerical (miller light or something) and the cans were tiny! What size are your cans of beer? The average can here is 440ml? Its a crazy crazy world1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.
NWFlyer 2 #2 May 1, 2006 There's a pint (16 oz) and an imperial pint (20 oz). Sometimes the terms are used interchangably. Beer cans and bottles are typically 12 oz. SpeedRacer 1 #3 May 1, 2006 440 ml = 15 ounces. A standard sized can or bottle of beer here is 12 ounces. If you go into a pub around here you might get (if it's a good pub) a pint of draft beer. But I've found that sometimes the "pint" glasses are closer to 15 ounces then 16. Sometimes you get a bud or miller (or lite versions) in these glass mugs that hold about 10 ounces. Usually in the more down-scale bars though, but they're usually pretty cheap. (Not cheap enough for me to drink shit beer though) Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

SpeedRacer 1 #5 May 1, 2006 Allow me to PM you a Cybernetic Kick in the Nuts. Contrary to what you may think, the USA DOES have a lot of great beer, but probably only the weak shitty stuff gets exported. oh, and if you're in Maryland, on saturday, May 13th, we're having the Maryland Beer Festival. All different types of craft beer brewed in Maryland. Some good bands will be playing too. Frederick, Maryland Fairgrounds, starting at noon. (And you can bet there will be nothing from Anheuser Busch or Miller to be found anywhere.)
